Delicious Dinner: Aubergines Gratin with Ham and Mozzarella Cheese (ENG/ESP)

Greetings hivers, I prepared for dinner some delicious aubergines with ham and mozzarella cheese, easy to prepare and very nutritious. Here I explain how I prepared them, I invite you to make them at home.

Saludos hivers, preparé para la cena unas deliciosas berenjenas con jamón y queso mozzarella, fácil de preparar y muy nutritivas. Acá les explico cómo las preparé, los invito a hacerlas en casa.

Ingredients/Ingredientes:

  • 2 eggplants/2 berenjenas
  • Half a small onion, leek, half a small paprika/Media cebolla pequeña, ajoporro, medio pimentón pequeño.
  • 2 cloves of garlic, salt, oil, pepper, soy sauce/2 dientes de ajo, sal, aceite, pimienta, salsa de soya.
  • Ham, mozzarella cheese/Jamón, queso mozzarella.

Process/Procedimiento:

Step 1: Cut the aubergines as shown, then remove the flesh of the aubergine being careful not to break the rind. Add the eggplant pulp to a cup of water and add a teaspoon of salt, let stand for about an hour to remove the bitterness from the vegetable, then remove the water and wash.

Paso 1: Cortar las berenjenas como se muestra, luego retirar la pulpa de la berenjena teniendo cuidado de no romper la corteza. Añadir la pulpa de la berenjena en una taza con agua y añadir una cucharita de sal, dejar reposar por aproximadamente una hora para sacar un poco el amargor del vegetal, luego sacar el agua y lavar.

Step 2: Cut the onion, paprika and leek into small pieces. Then fry two cloves of garlic in a little oil, add the cut vegetables. Also cut ham into small pieces, add to the pan, mix everything.

Step 4: Add a cup of water and cook for a few minutes until the vegetables soften.

Step 5: Step 5: Add diced mozzarella cheese to eggplant stew, add stew to eggplant shells as shown. Then take it to the oven to gratin.
