Hoy 28 de enero es un día muy especial en mi hermoso estado Zulia ya que celebramos el día de la zulianidad, ¿por qué esta fecha? porque un día como hoy en el año 1821 el gobernador de la provincia de Maracaibo Francisco Delgado declaró su independencia del dominio español.

Esta semana se han realizado muchos eventos en la ciudad y en especial en los colegios que busca enaltecer nuestras tradiciones zulianas y todo aquello que nos hace sentir orgullosos de ser zuliano, entre los elementos que nos destacan como zulianos están la gaita, el puente y el lago, la Chinita, Santa Lucía, la Guajira, la mandoca y muchas otras cosas que nos identifican.

El día de ayer salí al mall a comprar con mi hija el regalo de cumpleaños para mi esposo, la fecha de su cumpleaños es el 12 de febrero y como mi hija no tenía muchos pendientes aprovechamos para ir de compras. Al llegar al mall nos percatamos de que en al planta baja había una linda exposición con motivo de la zulianidad, se ofrecía a la venta todo tipo de artesanía guajira, postre típicos del Zulia, artículos con la imagen de la Chinita y muchas otras cosas que me encantaron, todo estaba muy organizado y bonito.

En el sitio también había personas de la etnia Wayú vestidas con el traje típico guajiro y ellos estaban hablando a los presentes sobre sus costumbres además de ofrecer sus productos a la venta. Fue una exposición muy educativa y amena, realmente me gusta mucho este tipo de eventos que se realizan en la ciudad.
