Hello beautiful people of the Hive Open Mic community. I hope you are doing great. I also hope your week is going smoothly as you must have planned it. I wish you peace and blessings in all your endeavors.
It is with great joy that I present to you my personal reflection on the theme of the week, which is "REFLEJA TU ESPIRITUALIDAD." The English variation would be "REFLECT YOUR SPIRITUALITY." As always, this theme is one that is quite polemic in the sense that it can be approached from different angles.
Personally, I have always held the opinion that everyone, including those who claim otherwise, has some sort of spirituality that they reflect. Also, I strongly believe that spirituality is not synonymous with religion, although they are closely related. What most people mean to say when they say "I am not spiritual" is "I am not religious."
As I mentioned earlier, everyone has some sort of spirituality, which, for me, is a belief in something higher than ourselves. It could be anything: God, Force, Love, Energy, and so on. Another important detail to highlight is that these spiritualities are expressed and reflected in many different ways.
But for the purpose of this week's theme, I would like to highlight that many people, including myself, take music as a way of expressing spirituality. I say this out of experience. As a Christian, whenever I pray with music, I feel more elevated than when I just pray with words. I don't know if you are familiar with the famous saying by Saint Augustine of Hippo, "He who sings prays twice." My personal spiritual experience affirms that claim. Please tell me how it is for you in the comment section.
In response to this beautiful theme, I have chosen to present a song that takes no permission to access my soul whenever I listen to it. The title is "ANGELS ALL AROUND" by COBHAMS ASUQUO, one of my favorite musicians. I will perform it with my acoustic guitar, and I hope you connect with it just as I did.
