AFRITUNES WEEK 104: ALL YE WHO SEEK A COMFORT Sure BY EDWARDS CASWAL(LENTEN SONG COVER)

Hi friends and African music lovers. I welcome you all to the 104th week of our weekly afro oriented music celebrations, where we highlight African music as a way of promoting it in the Hive space. We have come a long way gradually and I hope that we keep soaring in this manner.

Normally, I use to present strictly afrobeat songs but for this week, I choose to make a slight change and present a slightly different genre.
The title of the song is "All you who seek a comfort sure." it is basically a hymn but nevertheless, it has some afro elements embedded in its chord progression.

Apart from the structure of the song, it Is a song about the lenten period. Lenten season is a time in the calendar of the catholic church when faithfuls are advised and encouraged to go into themselves introspectively. It is a time of sober reflection and total repentance. Most importantly a time of remembering the sacrifice of Christ for the sake of mankind. For her salvation.

That last part is the message of this song. The song also brings to bear that we are rest assured even during troubles and distress. In essence, it is a song of Hope.

For the presentation, I used a keyboard tuned to a strings voice in order to give it a pure solemn and spiritual vibe and atmosphere. I hope you enjoy and reflect with this song presentation.
