What Can We SWAP at Hive Engine? Lots!
Hive Engine lists around 450 tokens. It feels like it has more, that's more or less what it lists on the Tokens page. Nearly all of he tokens are related to the front-ends and other dApps we use on Hive. However, there is a special group of tokens that lets us work with cryptocurrencies originating outside Hive. These are the Swap tokens, and their symbol names use the "SWAP." prefix (note the period after the "P").

The Usual Suspects
Among the Swap tokens are those for dealing with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and Binance Coin.
Other Swap Tokens
Besides the usual suspects, there are swap tokens for stablecoins, ERC20 tokens, and other altcoins.

Observations
Most of the crypto assets are familiar to us. Some of them ring a bell in the sense that we may have seen their names before and that's the extent of of knowledge about them. That's one reason the website URLs are included.
Polygon is familiar to many of us, but it was a mystery why its symbol name was MATIC. Polygon is the new name for the network originally named Matic. By the time Matic Network was renamed Polygon, the symbol POLY had already been taken by the cryptocurrency Polymath.
A number of Graphene blockchain tokens have Swap toekns as well. STEEM and SBD go without saying, as do HIVE and HBD. Given the importance of Cub Defi, a swap token exists for CUB as well. However, did anyone know there was a swap token for DTUBE? Swap token for COCO must be for a proposal on Hive regarding carbon capture during production, but I'm not sure. Blurt has a swap token on Hive Engine, but like Hive it forked from Steemit to be independent. Then there is Golos, a blockchain which preceded Hive by years.
Other Tokens of Interest
Hive Engine lists SWAP.BST, but that was added in error. We can disregard this listing since the correct one is SWAP.BTS.
SWAP.USD is listed as well. No other information exists for it on Hive Engine. It appears to be the on-ramp/off-ramp for handling U.S. Dollars.
Oddly enough, Hive Engine lists a token named SWAP, but it is not a swap token. The website URL leads to another interface for accessing Hive Engine. The front page gives people options for buying BLURT, SWAP, HIVE, and STEEM tokens. When the
BUY MORE TOKENS
button is pressed, it leads to an alternate representation of Hive Engine.
Final Thoughts
For anyone who wants to acquire more HIVE and Layer 2 tokens (especially those for Splinterlands and other blockchain games), Hive Engine provides a way to bring in external crypto assets to make those buys. For anyone who wants to give other crypto assets a chance, Hive Engine is offers a way to do so.
Swap tokens for many market cap leaders can be found on Hive Engine. Also found on Hive Engine are some surprises such as SwiftCash and Enjin Coin.
Just as Hivers can create their own Layer 2 tokens, the people behind Hive Engine can create new swap tokens. Will there be a swap token for THORChain (RUNE)? It can happeen, so we shall see.

Since a swap token is on Hive Engine for Polygon, I think it makese sense for one to exist for THORChain as well. I don't know who can be contacted to make that suggestion.
