Mustard is a winter edible oil crop, the main edible oil crop of Bangladesh, mustard is grown in most parts of Bangladesh during winter, when the mustard plant flowers, all the fields turn yellow, now most of the fields have finished flowering and mustard seeds have started to appear. .

Oil is extracted from mustard seeds, which is used in food and people of Bangladesh use this oil on body during winter. Mustard seeds yield 44% oil and 40% oil. Mustard seed oil contains a lot of fiber which makes it a very nutritious food for cattle and buffaloes.

Mustard is a winter annual plant cultivated in South Africa, Asia and Europe. Three types of mustard are cultivated in our Bangladesh, they are tori, white and rye.
