Hello, dear friends, it's been a long time since I posted something in this community, since I'm not really a gamer, but there are some videogames that from time to time I like to enjoy, and one of them is the Harry Potter saga. This time I chose "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" which is different from its predecessors in several aspects, first of all I must emphasize that the design of the characters and the environment in general improved a lot in every way, in fact the main characters are perfectly recognizable at a glance, however in terms of story I could notice that this practically does not follow the main story of the book, as did the previous games, in this basically we must collect some shields that will allow us to unlock more areas to continue enjoying the experience, it is still a very fun game, I invite you all to join me to see what it's all about.
Hola, queridos amigos, hace mucho tiempo que yo no publicó algo en esta comunidad, ya que realmente no soy gamer, pero hay algunos videojuegos que de vez en cuando me gusta disfrutar, y uno de ellos es la saga de Harry Potter. En esta ocasión opté por "Harry Potter y el Cáliz de Fuego" el cual es diferente a sus antecesores en varios aspectos, en primer lugar debo resaltar que el diseño de los personajes y el entorno en general mejoró muchísimo en todos los sentidos, de hecho los personajes principales son perfectamente reconocibles a simple vista, no obstante en cuanto a historia pude notar que este prácticamente no sigue la historia principal del libro, como sí lo hicieron los juegos anteriores, en este básicamente debemos recolectar unos escudos que nos permitirán desbloquear más zonas para seguir disfrutando la experiencia, aún así es un juego sumamente divertido, los invito a todos ustedes a acompañarme para ver de que se trata.

The first thing I should mention is that, as a fan of the saga, both the films and the books, I was very pleased to see the aesthetics they handled for the menu, it is beautiful and very similar to the film.
Lo primero que debo mencionar es que, como fan de la saga, tanto de las películas como los libros, me sentí muy complacida al ver la estética que manejaron para el menú, es hermosa y muy similar a la de la película.
What I liked the most was that in the part where we have to choose the areas where we want to play we have Dumbledore's pensieve, in this case I chose an adventure in the forbidden forest of Hogwarts. It is worth mentioning that, unlike the previous games of the saga, in this one we cannot enter the castle to explore it, all the activities are outside. Well, except for the Defence Against the Dark Arts classes with Professor Moody, but that was just that part.
Lo que más gustó fue que en la parte donde debemos elegir las zonas donde queremos jugas tenemos al pensadero de Dumbledore, en este caso elegí una aventura en el bosque prohibido de Hogwarts. Cabe destacar que, a diferencia de los juegos antecesores de la saga, en este no podemos ingresar al castillo para explorarlo, todas las actividades son en el exterior. Bueno, a excepción de las clases de Defensa Contra las Artes Oscuras con el profesor Moody, pero fue solo esa parte.
Another aspect that I found very interesting and I loved it is the fact that we can choose the character we want to play with, in the previous game we were able to live some adventures assuming the role of Ron or Hermione, but it was not an option for the player, it just had to be that way. In this case I chose Hermione, look at the resemblance of the characters to the actors who played them in the movies.
Otro aspecto que me pareció muy interesante y me encantó es el hecho de que podemos elegir el personaje con el que queremos jugar, en el juego anterior sí que pudimos vivir algunas aventuras asumiendo el rol de Ron o Hermione, pero no era una opción para el jugador, simplemente debía ser así. En este caso elegí a Hermione, miren el parecido de los personajes con los actores que los interpretaron en las películas.
Once you choose a character they will be on guard, wow! I really love it.
Una vez que eliges a un personaje este se pondrá en guardia, ¡Wow! De verdad me encanta.
Another of the things we can do with our characters is to prepare them for the adventure, give them or strengthen their abilities so that they adapt to the environment in which we will be and this can be done through the cards, there are character cards with which you can heal the other characters, there are also stamina cards, spell cards (to boost them or to change the style), accio cards (the summoning spell to attract rewards) and creature cards that will help us to have more ability to attack them.
Otra de las cosas que podemos hacer con nuestros personajes es prepararlos para la aventura, otorgarle o reforzarle habilidades para que estas se adapten al entorno en el que estaremos y esto se puede hacer mediante los cromos, hay cromos de personajes con los cuales puedes curar a los otros personajes, también hay cromos de resistencia, de hechizos (para potenciarlos o para cambiar el estilo), cromos de accio (el hechizo convocador para atraer recompensas) y cromos de criaturas que nos ayudarán a tener mayor habilidad para atacarlas.
It was a good to choose the creature card because when we got to the forbidden forest we had to face the Dugbugs, creatures that usually live in the swamps, they look like logs, but when they decide to attack, they do it without hesitation, biting their victims, fortunately Ron and Harry are always willing to help Hermione fight back.
Fue una buena elección elegir el cromo de criaturas ya que cuando llegamos al bosque prohibido tuvimos que enfrentarnos a los Dugbugs, unas criaturas que generalmente habitan en los pantanos, tienen apariencia de leños, pero cuando deciden atacar, lo hacen sin dudar, mordiendo a sus víctimas, afortunadamente Ron y Harry siempre están dispuesto a ayudar a Hermione a combatir.
Then we found a very curious plant called "Bubotuber", in this case we must use it to unblock the path that is full of poisonous mushrooms, so I cast the spell Carperetractum to pull the plant and throw it over the mushrooms, in this way the pus that the plant expels helped me to clear the path of poisonous mushrooms, but it is not as easy as it seems, because if you are not careful enough, the plant throws pus everywhere and that affects us.
Luego nos encontramos con una planta muy curiosa llamada "Bubotuberculo", en este caso debemos usarla para desbloquear el camino que está lleno de setas venenosas, de modo que lancé el hechizo Carperetractum para jalar la planta y arrojarla sobre las setas, de esta forma el pus que expele la planta me ayudó a despejar el camino de setas venenosas, pero no es tan fácil como parece, pues si no se tiene el suficiente cuidado, la planta arroja pus por todos lados y eso nos afecta.
I kept casting the summoning spell Accio! to attract all the cauldrons and pumpkins to help me regain the stamina lost during the Dugbugs fight.
Yo no dejaba de lanzar el hechizo convocador ¡Accio! para atraer todos los calderos y calabazas para ayudarme a recuperar la resistencia perdida durante el combates con los Dugbugs
As I climbed up the stairs I was met with a fire effluvium that hurt me a lot, seriously, I was surprised 😝.
A medida que fui subiendo las escaleras me encontré con un un buen chorro de fuego que me hizo muchísimo daño, en serio, me sorprendió 😝
Afterwards I had to cast the spell "aquaeructo", which is used to eliminate these fiery effluvia, so that I could avoid another unpleasant blast like that.
Posteriormente tuve que arrojar el hechizo "acuaeructo" que sirve para eliminar esos efluvios de fuego, solo así pude evitar otra desagradable ráfaga como esa.
Look how beautiful the landscape is, I really like the way the game developers depicted the forbidden forest.
Miren que hermoso es el paisaje, de verdad me gusta muchísimo la manera en que los desarrolladores del juego representaron el bosque prohibido.
Again we had to deal with those pesky Dugbugs Ahhhh I hate them! 😖 😡
De nuevo tuvimos que enfrentarnos a esos molestos Dugbugs ¡Ahhh los odio! 😖 😡
Finally we reached the area where the shield is but in order to reach it I had to build a "stair" by opening the leaves of this plant, to achieve this I used the herbivicus spell, but the difficulty of this mission is that just when I was doing the spell some giant polyspas appeared, fortunately Ron and Harry took care of them, however sometimes I had to stop to attack them too because there were so many and they didn't let me do anything.
Finalmente llegamos a la zona donde está el escudo pero para poder alcanzarlo tuve que construir una "escalera" abriendo las hojas de esta planta, para lograrlo usé el hechizo herbivicus, pero la dificultad de esta misión radica en que justo cuando yo estaba realizando el hechizo aparecieron unas polispas gigantes, afortunadamente Ron y Harry se encargaron de ellas, sin embargo a veces yo debía para para atacarlas también porque eran muchas y no me dejaban hacer nada.
We finally reached the shield.
Finalmente alcanzamos el escudo.
For the next mission I decided to choose Harry Potter, we must reach the shields that are scattered around the prefect's bathroom, although that massive place is not really the prefect's bathroom, but more like a kind of sewers behind it, in this case, in order to pass over the water we must also use the herbivicus spell, the objective is to try to reach the top to get out of the way those jets of steam that you see at the bottom, because when we get them out of the way we can reach the shield.
Para la próxima misión decidí escoger a Harry Potter, debemos alcanzar los escudos que están esparcidos por el baño de prefectos, aunque ese masivo lugar no es en realidad el baño de prefectos, sino más bien como una especie de cañerías detrás de este, en este caso, para poder pasar por encima del agua también debemos usar el hechizo herbivicus, el objetivo es tratar de llegar arriba para apartar del camino esos chorros de vapor que se ven allá al fondo, porque al quitarlos del camino podremos alcanzar el escudo
But of course you couldn't miss the annoying giant sparks, they were really annoying, they attacked again and again and almost didn't let me do anything, in spite of all Ron Hermione's help.
Pero desde luego no podían faltar las molestas polispas gigantes, eran de verdad muy molestas, atacaban una y otra vez y casi no me dejaban hacer nada, a pesar de toda la ayuda de Ron Hermione
Even so, we were able to move forward, get to the top and reach the pipes, while Hermione tried to take care of the giant beasts, Ron and I took care of the steam valve using the "Carperetractum" spell.
Aun así pudimos avanzar, llegar arriba y alcanzar las tuberías, mientras Hermione intentaba encargarse de las bestias gigantes esas, Ron y yo nos encargábamos de la válvula de vapor usando el hechizo "Carperetractum"
Those monsters left us very affected in stamina, but fortunately we have special stickers that will help us to increase our stamina level as long as we are together, (standing close to each other) above I highlighted in a red rectangle, the stamina level, which was increasing.
Esos monstruos nos dejaron muy afectados en la resistencia, pero afortunadamente tenemos cromos especiales que nos ayudarán a incrementar el nivel de resistencia mientras estemos juntos, (parados uno cerca del otro) arriba resalté en un rectángulo rojo, el nivel de resistencia, el cual se iba incrementando.
But just as he was about to reach the shield, the Erkling appeared, which are obnoxious creatures from the German Black Forest (according to the book Fantastic Animals and Where to Find Them) and are very annoying because they are always throwing some kind of needles or projectiles, and to make matters worse, they attack in groups.
Pero cuando ya casi estaba a punto de alcanzar el escudo, aparecieron los Erkling, que son odiosas criaturas oriundas de la Selva Negra alemana (según el libro Animales Fantásticos y Donde Encontrarlos) son muy molestas pues a cada rato lanzan una especie de agujas o proyectiles, y para colmo atacan en grupo.
But at the end of the day we got the shield. 😊
Pero al final del día obtuvimos el escudo. 😊

It makes perfect sense to play this game right now. Because Hogwarts Legacy is coming out soon. I really want to play that game. The mouse staying on the screen is a mistake that happens to all of us haha.
Yes, I'm dying to play Hogwarts Legacy too, although I think I'll just have to settle for watching some gameplays because my PC doesn't have the resources to play it. Thank you very much for reading and commenting 😊
Yo me acuerdo de este juego! Muy divertido! Todos nosotros leímos los libros y nuestro primer juego del PS2 era Chamber of Secrets. Así que cuando encontré este título en Blockbuster (RIP), lo alquilé sin duda!
Era muy interesante la mecánica de los hechizos, diferente que los demás juegos en la serie.

Es cierto, la mecánica de los hechizos es bastante bastante diferente. De verdad amo este juego porque aunque tenga muchísimas diferencia con respecto a los libros, no puedo negar que es divertidísimo. Gracias de corazón por leer y comentar.
Me encanta el traer del pasado, recuerdos como este, son preciosos y es una lástima que algunas obras muy amadas de su época se pierdan en el olvido... Muchos buenos juegos de ps2 deberian de ser rescatados, especialmente obras como este, que serian de nicho, saludos y un abrazo :)
