Here I am again for one of the @ladiesofhive contests, getting ready to answer this week's questions, which are particularly interesting.
De nuevo aquí en uno de los concursos de @ladiesofhive, preparándomepara responder las preguntas de esta semana las cuales sn particularmente interesantes.
1️⃣ What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you, something you’ve even laughed about yourself? Tell us about your experience.
¿Qué es lo más vergonzoso que te ha pasado alguna vez, algo de lo que incluso te has reído? Cuéntanos tu experiencia.
The most embarrassing moment of my life happened ages ago—I was maybe five years old. I wasn't even aware of what I was doing at the time, so I didn't feel embarrassed then; the embarrassment only set in later, once I was older and more self-aware. My mom had sent me on a holiday outing sponsored by the company where my dad worked, and since I was so young, she sent me along with my cousin. We were taken to the beach, and at one point, I felt really uncomfortable because a lot of sand had gotten inside my swimsuit. So, with complete nonchalance, I took off my swimsuit to "wash" it in the sea. My cousin tried to cover me up, looking on in disbelief and asking, "Are you crazy?" 😄 Years later, I was mortified and couldn't understand why I’d done it, but now I crack up at the memory of childhood naivety.
La peor verguenza que he vivido fue hace muchísimos años cuando tenía tal vez unos cinco años y ni siquiera era consciente en ese momento de lo que hice, así que no me avergonzó, sino después cuando ya adquirí mayor consciencia. pero en una ocasión mi mamá me envió a una excursión vacacional patrocinada por la empresa para la que trabajaba mi papá y como era muy pequeña ella me envio con mi primo, resulta que nos llevaron a la playa, y en determinado momento yo me sentí muy incómoda porque había entrado mucha arena en mi traje de baño, así que con tod la naturalidad del mundo yo me quité el traje de baño para "lavarlo" en el mar. Mi primo intentó cubrirme incrédulo mientras me decía "¿Estás loca?" 😄 años después yo moría de verguenza y no entendí porque lo había hecho, pero ahora muero de risa ante el recuerdo de la ingenuidad de los niños.
2️⃣ Are you a fashion enthusiast? Do you follow trends, or do you simply wear what you like and what makes you feel comfortable?
¿Eres un entusiasta de la moda? ¿Sigues las tendencias o simplemente vistes lo que te gusta y te hace sentir cómoda?
No, I don't really consider myself a fashion enthusiast; I don't worry too much about clothes. As a teenager and young adult, I had a very rocker—sometimesGothic—style, so I was never interested in maintaining a particularly polished or neat look. Nowadays, I just grab whatever I find in my closet first—something comfortable and simple—though there are times when I make an exception and dress up a bit more than usual, depending on the occasion, such as for my birthday or a special social event.
No, no me considero entusiasta de la moda realmente, no me preocupo demasiado por la ropa, cuando era adolescente y joven adulta yo manejaba un estilo muy rockero, en ocasiones gótico, así que nunca me interesó mantener un estilo demasiado pulcro o prolijo y ahora siempre tomo lo primero que encuentro en el guardaropa, algo cómodo y sencillo, aunque hay ocasiones en que hago una excepción y me arreglo un poco más de la cuenta, dependiendo del contexto, por ejemplo en mi cumpleaños y si hay algún eveno social especial.
