My favorite cartoons from my childhood [ESP/ENG]

Gracias a mi hermana @bethyjade por haberme etiquetado en el tema de esta semana propuesto por @avdesing, en el cuál debemos hablar sobre nuestra experiencia con esas caricaturas que nos hicieron muy felices cuando éramos niños. Les diré algo, afortunadamente yo tengo muy buena memoria y gracias a esto yo guardo recuerdos muy longevos, algunos muy difusos pero igual están ahí, por esa razón recuerdo vagamente el primer dibujo animado que me hizo feliz. Yo tenía unos dos años por allá en 1987 y el recuerdo más vivido que tengo es estar sentada en una pequeña silla de madera que compraron mis padres exclusivamente para mi y que aún tenemos en casa, y yo me ponía a ver Arcoiris Rainbow Brite: me atraían los colores y la forma de los muñequitos. Mi mamá todavía recuerda que a ella le sorprendía que siendo yo tan pequeña ya intuía la hora a la que iban a transmitir el programa, así que buscaba la sillita, me sentaba frente al televisor y le decía a ella "Mami acoi ai" que en mi incipiente lengua infantil significaba "Mami, Arcoiris Rainbow Brite" 😄
Thanks to my sister @bethyjade for tagging me in this week's topic proposed by @avdesing, in which we talk about our experiences with cartoons that made us very happy as children. I'll tell you something: fortunately, I have a very good memory, and thanks to this, I have very long-lasting memories, some quite hazy, but they're still there. For that reason, I vaguely remember the first cartoon that made me happy. I was about two years old back in 1987, and my most vivid memory is sitting in a small wooden chair that my parents bought exclusively for me and that we still have at home, watching Rainbow Brite. I was drawn to the colors and the shapes of the little characters. My mom still remembers how surprised she was that, even though I was so little, I could already guess what time the show was going to air. So I would find my little chair, sit in front of the TV, and say to her, "Mami acoi ai," which in my fledgling baby language meant "Mommy, Rainbow Brite" 😄
Otros recuerdos muy bonitos que tengo y estos son más vívidos porque yo ya estaba más grande (aunque no recuerdo en que año fue más o menos) es que me gustaba mucho los Ositos Cariñosos o "Cariñositos" como también le llamaban por una combinación en español de las palabras Cariño y Ositos, jaja a esa edad yo parecía estar obsesionada con los colores, a diferencia de más tarde cuando el negro se convirtió en mi color favorito 😄. En esa época me gustaban tanto los Ositos Cariñosos que mi papá me compró una edición especial de VHS en el video club de una película de los famosos ositos, y yo estaba feliz porque esa edición venía acompañada de un kit de Play Dough 😃. En esa época aún vivíamos en el pueblo de mi familia paterna (Montalbán) así que fue previo a 1992 cuando nos mudamos aquí a Valencia (Venezuela) y recuerdo también que mi mamá decoró mi cuarto con algunos dibujos en las paredes, hechos a mano por ella misma, de los Ositos Cariñosos.
Other very fond memories I have, and these are more vivid because I was older (although I don't remember the exact year), are that I really loved Care Bears, or "Cariñositos" as they were also called, a combination of the Spanish words "Cariño" (affectionate) and "Ositos" (little bears), haha. At that age, I seemed to be obsessed with colors, unlike later when black became my favorite color 😄. Back then, I loved Care Bears so much that my dad bought me a special edition VHS tape of a movie from the video store, and I was thrilled because it came with a Play-Doh kit 😃. At that time, we were still living in my father's family's hometown (Montalbán), so it was before 1992 when we moved here to Valencia, Venezuela. I also remember that my mom decorated my room with some Care Bear drawings on the walls, which she made herself.
¡Ahhhh Los Thundercats! me volvían loca 😃, me encantaban y cuando yo jugaba con mis primos en el patio este era uno de nuestros topis favoritos. Yo era Cheetara jaja, bueno, no sé si en otros lugares del mundo le llamaban así, pero era la chica mitad mujer mitad cheetah. Pero aunque yo amaba los Thundercats debo confesar que yo era muy impresionable en esa época así que me asustaba mucho Mumm-Ra 😨, pero veía con alivio cuando Leono y los demás lo combatían 🤗. No sé si a ustedes les pasa igual pero cuando veo la intro vuelvo a sentir la misma emoción de esa época. Me encantaría un liveaction de esta serie aunque... Bueno, pensándolo mejor, me he llevado tantas decepciones con el cast de los liveactions y Remakes últimamente de otras franquicias que me parece mejor conservar los recuerdos del dibujo animado.
Ahhh, Thundercats! They drove me crazy 😃, I loved them, and when I played with my cousins in the yard, this was one of our favorite things. I was Cheetara, haha, well, I don't know if they called her that in other parts of the world, but I was the half-woman, half-cheetah girl. But even though I loved Thundercats, I must confess that I was very impressionable back then, so Mumm-Ra scared me a lot 😨, but I watched with relief when Lion-O and the others fought him 🤗. I don't know if you feel the same way, but when I see the intro, I feel the same excitement from that time again. I would love a live-action version of this series, although... Well, thinking about it, I've been so disappointed with the casting of live-action remakes and remakes of other franchises lately that I think it's better to keep the memories of the cartoon.
Y por último pero no menos importante recuerdo a los Rugrats o "Aventuras en Pañales" como también le llamaban, bueno en Venezuela lo transmitían con el nombre "Tommy y sus diabluras" 😄 los episodios eran muy divertidos y yo no me perdía ninguno. También recuerdo que uno de mis primos me llamaba "Angélica" porque yo era como ella cuando tenía más o menos esa edad 3 o 4 años, no era especialmente malvada pero si mis primos más pequeños estaban jugando con algún juguete que yo quería simplemente se los quitaba y los dejaba llorando, lo sé, no me juzguen jeje pero afortunadamente mi actitud fue corregida a tiempo.
And last but not least, I remember Rugrats, or "Adventures in Diapers" as it was also called. Well, in Venezuela it aired as "Tommy and His Mischief" 😄 The episodes were so funny, and I never missed one. I also remember that one of my cousins called me "Angelica" because I was like her when I was around that age, 3 or 4 years old. I wasn't particularly mean, but if my younger cousins were playing with a toy I wanted, I would just take it away and leave them crying. I know, don't judge me, haha, but luckily my attitude was corrected in time.
De verdad me la pasé muy bonito compartiendo con ustedes solo algunos de los recuerdos más bonitos que tengo de mi época más linda, la niñez. Los dibujos animados tienen la capacidad de trasladarte nuevamente a esos momentos tan especiales y gratos. Por eso invito a todos a participar, nos se pierdan de esta hermosa experiencia y compartan con nosotros cuales fueron esos dibujos animados que más les gustaron y que experiencias o recuerdos personales tienen al respecto 🤗.

What a wonderful account of your experiences with cartoons. I absolutely loved the first drawing, not just because of how special the little girl is, but also because of your memories of sitting in that little chair and knowing exactly what time that cartoon was on!
I remember the Care Bears too; I used to watch them as well, and my mum would buy me some ‘letter sheets’, that’s what they were called in Argentina, which I could swap with my classmates at school. They were like collectable figures.
But of all the ones you chose, The Thundercats are my favourites; I was a fan of them for the same reasons as you, that Cheetah woman was fabulous, and my brother loved Mumm-Ra, and yes, I feel the same thrill when I hear the intro.

Y también disfruté muchísimo leyendo tu comentario, creo que somos de la misma generación entonces, los 90 fue una de las mejores épocas para crecer, la televisión era muy sana entonces y los niños nos divertíamos en un ambiente de estímulos positivos, era definitivamente una época maravillosa.
Aquí en Venezuela no había hojas cartas que yo recuerde pero si teníamos álbum de barajitas (le llamábamos así a imágenes que íbamos pegando en un álbum) Si lograbas llenar todo el álbum (cosa que nunca pasaba que yo sepa) te ganabas premios, uno compraba en la tienda los sobres con barajitas que usualmente traían tres, luego empezaban a salir repetidas y entonces uno las intercambiaba en el colegio o con los vecinos.
Si!!! Las figuritas serían las baratijas jajajaja nací en el 78, soy más vieja jaja pero conozco esas comiquitas y el tema de las figuritas, las cambiábamos en la escuela.... pero que recuerdos! Gracias por estar aquí!!Gracias!😃
