(ESP/ENG) Plan Vacacional: Infancias libres / Vacation Plan: Free childhoods

De parte de nuestro movimiento llamado “Mujeres por La vida” decidimos organizar un plan vacacional gratuito, para que los niños de la comunidad a la cual prestamos servicio, puedan tener una manera diferente y divertida de pasar su tiempo libre en vacaciones.

On behalf of our movement called "Women for Life" we decided to organize a free vacation plan, so that the children of the community we serve can have a different and fun way to spend their free time on vacation. .

Muchas de las familias de la comunidad no cuentan con los medios para que sus hijos puedan salir de viaje o simplemente sacarlos a pasear. Así que nosotras nos ingeniamos con nuestras propias manos y recursos ideas de actividades lúdico recreativas.

Increíblemente nos llegaron muchos niños y niñas a las inscripciones del plan vacacional y debido a esto debimos dividirnos en dos grupos por la cantidad de niños y niñas.

La división consistió en que una semana sería para el grupo 1 y la segunda semana para el grupo numero 2. Y así poder controlar la cantidad de niños y niñas que participarían, pues nuestro equipo de trabajo solo contamos con 5 personas. En fin, una vez realizada la planificación del plan vacacional y decidir las diferentes actividades que se realizarían cada día, le dimos inicio.

Many of the families in the community do not have the means for their children to go on trips or simply take them out for a walk. So we invented with our own hands and resources ideas for recreational activities.

Incredibly, many boys and girls came to register for the vacation plan and because of this we had to divide ourselves into two groups due to the number of boys and girls.

The division was that one week would be for group 1 and the second week for group number 2. And thus be able to control the number of boys and girls that would participate, since our work team only has 5 people. Finally, once the planning of the vacation plan was done and the different activities that would be carried out each day were decided, we started it.

El día lunes les dimos la bienvenida al plan vacacional y realizamos una actividad rompe hielo para que así se presentaran y se conocieran entre ellos, ya que estarían conviviendo toda una semana juntos. Después le dimos inicio a las actividades. Primero comenzamos con una clase de yoga, y decidimos que cada día al comenzar daríamos clases de yoga que así estiraran el cuerpo (como ejercicios de estiramiento) para nosotras las clases de yoga ayudan mucho para la concentración y relajación.

On Monday we welcomed them to the vacation plan and carried out an icebreaker activity so that they could introduce themselves and get to know each other, since they would be living together for a whole week. Then we started the activities. First we started with a yoga class, and we decided that every day at the beginning we would give yoga classes that stretch the body (like stretching exercises) for us yoga classes help a lot for concentration and relaxation.

Después de eso comenzamos con clases de baile, colocándoles diferentes videos para que ellos niños y niñas aprendieran diferentes tipos de baile, como lo son la salsa, bachata, música llanera y bailes tradicionales. Una de las maneras que usamos de las actividades de baile y que sin duda fue una de las favoritas fue usar videos de un juego llamado “Just Dance” donde los niños y niñas se divirtieron bailando como una manera de ejercitar el cuerpo. Luego les dimos un pequeño refrigerio con frutas para después continuar con la siguiente actividad, la cual era Karaoke. Gracias a nuestro profesor de música quien presto apoyo nos colaboro para animar a los niños a cantar diferentes géneros de canciones.

Y así con estas actividades le dimos apertura al primer día del Plan vacacional. Los niños y niñas se fueron muy contentos y emocionados con la idea de las actividades.

After that we started with dance classes, putting up different videos so that the boys and girls could learn different types of dance, such as salsa, bachata, llanera music and traditional dances. One of the ways that we used dance activities and that was undoubtedly one of the favorites was to use videos of a game called “Just Dance” where the boys and girls had fun dancing as a way to exercise their bodies. Then we gave them a small fruit snack to then continue with the next activity, which was Karaoke. Thanks to our supportive music teacher who helped us to encourage the children to sing different genres of songs.

And so with these activities we opened the first day of the Vacation Plan. The boys and girls left very happy and excited with the idea of ​​the activities.
