A Little Deeper Into The Analog World. - Um Pouco Mais Fundo No Mundo Analógico.

So my birthday was on the 10th of October and my boyfriend @thomashnblum is a beautiful and wonderful little son of a bitch who gave me the best gift ever (and I was thinking the best gift was going to be a pair of boots that I wanted): the record player that was his! Not to mention that I even got a few records and I'm babysitting the ones he's going to get back in the future. You must be able to imagine how I am enjoying this gift.
Inspired by this experience, which I'm still having, I decided to write a text about analog music.

To tell you the truth, I totally lean towards analog on a lot of aspects. I've always been fascinated by the idea of listening to records, a while ago I had my first record player, but it was a typical 80's handyman record player, with a very strange shape and obviously the quality wasn't that good(it was bad). Well, I'm not going to complain too much about the poor device, it started my experience in the world of analog music. Also, analog photography is a HUGE passion of mine, although I don't practice it as much as I would like because of the prices of the films and developments. I live in such a small town that it doesn't have a single photo lab, anyone who wants to do analog photography here will have to send their films abroad. This part is quite questionable, not only because I'm a user of streaming services, like almost everyone else, but I have an appreciation for satellite dishes and the analog TV signal, which is almost entirely extinct in my country.
But, well, I'm writing this while listening to Black Sabbath's debut album with the most incredible sound quality I've ever had, so...
I've been to a good number of live shows, whether concerts or events that happen in my city that bring together several bands from here and neighboring cities and what I've noticed listening to records again and on a quality device is that it's very easy having that “live sound” feel, or something close to it, is hard to describe.

The big problem with everything analog is that analog goes down as digital goes up and the more it goes down, the more expensive it gets. Not all people will be able to have this kind of experience, but I'm basically here to say that it's worth it, at least if you have a sensitivity to the music itself. Not to mention that experiencing helps to develop this sensitivity as well.
My computer is not the best. I'm using it to write this text here and I also use it to make artwork that will be prints for clothes later, through Adobe Illustrator, so it does the necessary, but it doesn't go beyond that. Something that has always bothered me in a way is the fact that my computer's sound is horrible in quality and it's very low so I've never been able to truly appreciate the songs I love with it, that's something I'm happily doing now, with the record player.
So the result of this whole word equation is:
Try analog! It's a world out of the ordinary, you become much more connected with what you're doing, the pictures in the photo get better, the songs on the records get better. This I defend forever.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks: @thomashnblum , for being the best person and giving the best gifts.

Very nice! I have a record player that I bought decades ago. It is a decent RCA unit. I have about 250 or 300 albums too that I play on it from time to time. I don't spend as much time in the home office as I used to when then pandemic was at its height.

I always love spinning mine, I just never get the time anymore. My niece recently started collecting vinyl too, so I have been bonding with her over that.
