Will artificial intelligence replace the working population? 1 ultimate reason why it won't

A trader cannot be replaced by a trading bot, the bot is built by traders to serve them, not replace them!

I chuckle everytime I see a post about artificial intelligence replacing humans in different work fields, especially when people in the comment section agree to these half-truth claims, and one question always comes to mind: do people not pay attention to and understand how transformative work is?

When heavy machines were being introduced to agriculture, did that replace farmers? Did autopilot replace pilots? Will autodrive cars replace drivers? So if you answered no to all above questions, why then would you agree to artificial intelligence replacing everybody? None of those things replaced people because that's not how technology works, technology serves not replace.

Make no mistake, artificial intelligence will be one of the reasons people will be put out of work but not what replaces them, people replace people, machines don't. Whoever is being replaced does not understand the value of his job and very much how important it is to the existence of A.I.

There's something that people need to understand, artificial intelligence will never get to a point where it is fully autonomous, not that it will be impossible to attain that level of functionality but because the makers of these applications and machines love power and will not simply give it away.

If an A.I. robot was to have a sense of self, reasoning and making decisions on its own without following pre-set instructions which are, in technical terms called "programs" then what difference would that make from the rest of the world that different people try to control?

Think about the narcissistic and manipulative individual that is always trying to control people. Why would a human, in that very nature of being power thirsty, build something so advanced and highly efficient at work simply to give it its own singularity to exercise freedom?

It isn't likely to happen, so while there will be a level of advancements in A.I technology that makes them carry various autonomous work, their existence will not include full autonomy. There will always be a power off button, there will always be a power on button, there will always be an upgrade button, maintenance mode initiator, self destruct, basically buttons and switches will exist to carry out various commands programmed into an A.I software.

So in as much as A.I will be weaponized by humans, at least we know it will never get to where it weaponizes itself and wipes out the entire human race, it will never get to where it doesn't need human intervention.

Knowing this, let's head back to the topic of A.I replacing workers, how true are these claims?

It's a half truth situation being that truly, the knowledge of artificial intelligence will become a skill, a requirement given that A.I will be incorporated with various business structures.

Knowing this, the replacement part should be pretty obvious, while we most times say A.I will replace people, this is not true, it is people who understand how to leverage artificial intelligence for maximum value results that will replace people.

Artificial Intelligence is essentially a computer program and what do we know about computers? They are dumb servants that do whatever the master says.

So A.I is dumb and only says and does what it is programmed to say and do. What this tells us is that there will be a vast demand for professionals in various work fields for the development of artificial intelligence softwares because an engineer will know almost nothing about the humans' blood cells, so that is a role only a doctor will play.

So artificial intelligence will consistently need medical experts, finance professionals, business gurus, historians, English majors and the long list continues. Why do AI need these talents? It's quite simple, artificial intelligence is trained by pre-existing data, while it can make up things on it's own, if accuracy is the ultimate goal of designing these systems then artificial intelligence will rely on these experts to feed it the necessary data to function well and similarly to a doctor for example in the medical.

This is clearly not going to be a one doctor's job, in fact, the word "doctor" encompasses different professions, so these professionals will pretty much be largely relevant even in the age of A.I running many business and work structures.
