[ENG]|[ESP] My first roadtrip on my car to my grandmother's birthday
Hello beautiful Hive community, I couldn't post this week because I was traveling and I took my first car trip and I want to tell you all about my experience.
Hola bonita comunidad de Hive, no pude publicar esta semana porque estuve de viaje y hice mi primer viaje en carro y les quiero contar toda mi experiencia.
The reason for the trip was to go to the city of Maracay, where my grandmother and mother live, because my grandmother had her birthday. I can tell you that my grandmother is already quite old (72 years old) and unfortunately she has cancer, so she does not have as much vitality as another grandfather of the same age could have. For that reason i wanted to travel to her birthday, since I don't know if it could be her last birthday, she has had days in which she has been quite sick.
I wanted to go give my grandmother this surprise of arriving at her house on her birthday and brighten her day.
El motivo del viaje fue ir a la ciudad de Maracay, donde vive mi abuela y mi madre, debido a que mi Abuela estaba de cumpleaños. Les cuento que mi abuela ya esta bastante vieja (72 años) y lamentablemente tiene cáncer, por lo que no tiene tanta vitalidad como podría tener otro abuelo de la misma edad. Por esa razón quise viajar a su cumpleaños, ya que no sé si puede ser su ultimo cumpleaños, ha tenido días en los que ha estado bastante enferma.
Quise ir a darle a mi abuela esta sorpresa de llegar a su casa el día de su cumpleaños y alegrarle el día.
To arrive there I had to cross almost half of Venezuela haha on a 695 km trip with my dear girlfriend, which took me approximately 11-12 hours. We leave San Cristóbal at 6 am tomorrow and arrived at Maracay at 5:45 pm.
Para llegar tuve que atravesar casi media Venezuela jaja en un viaje de 695 KM junto a mi querida novia, en los cuales me demoré aproximadamente 11-12 horas. Salimos a las 6Am mañana de San Cristóbal y llegamos a las 5:45 PM a Maracay.
The trip, despite being long, was calm, there were many people on the road, they sold all kinds of food, and the roads were in good condition.
Something worth mentioning is that in more than half of the road, ALL the service stations were closed to fill the gas tank, I had to be cautious about this problem and I took with me 30 liters of gasoline to complete my trip, (In Venezuela it is legal to transport gasoline for own consumption because here are problems throughout the country to get it) If I had not brought gasoline I would have had to buy it resold on the road from people at double and even triple the normal price.
El viaje a pesar de ser largo fue tranquilo, habían bastantes personas en el camino, vendían de todo tipo de comidas y la carreteras estaba en buen estado.
Algo que vale la pena mencionar es que en mas de la mitad del camino estaban cerradas TODAS las estaciones de servicio para llenar el tanque de gasolina, yo tuve que ser precavido ante esta problemática y me llevé 30 litros de gasolina para poder completar mi viaje, ( En Venezuela es legal transportar gasolina para consumo propio ya que en todo el pais hay problemas para conseguir) De no haber llevado gasolina me hubiera tocado comprarla revendida en el camino al doble y hasta el triple del precio normal.
When we arrived in Maracay, the family was waiting for us to sing my grandmother's birthday, we were all happy to see each other.
After singing birthdays and eating cake we talked for a while and went to sleep early because we were tired from the long trip.
Al llegar a Maracay estaba la familia esperándonos para cantarle el cumpleaños a mi abuela, estábamos todos felices de vernos.
Después de cantar cumpleaños y comer torta hablamos un rato y nos fuimos a dormir temprano ya que estábamos cansados del viaje tan largo.
The next day we wanted to go out with my grandmother to give her a birthday present, to make her have a very special day and make her feel very loved, first we went to drink coconut water since it is very good to get hydrated and make her feel better, then we took her to buy some clothes, she chose several t-shirts that she liked and a skirt, after measuring them to check that they fit well we paid and went to eat her favorite candy, she confessed to me that she had not been able to eat that dessert for years because she had not seen it again so we made her happy with her favorite dessert, we had a tea for digestion and then we continued driving around the city.
Al día siguiente quisimos salir con mi abuela a darle su regalo de cumpleaños, hacerla tener un día muy especial y hacerla sentir muy querida, primero fuimos a tomar agua de coco ya que es muy bueno para hidratarse y hacerla sentir mejor, luego la llevamos a comprarse una ropa, ella escogió varias franelas que le gustaron y una falda, después de medírselas comprobar la que quedaban bien pagamos y fuimos a comer su dulce favorito, ella me confeso que tenia años sin poder comer ese dulce porque no lo había vuelto a ver así que la hicimos feliz con su dulce favorito, nos tomamos un té para la digestión y luego seguimos paseando al rededor de la ciudad.
I am very happy to have shared that day with my grandmother and to see her happy like a little girl, she came home tired and lay down to rest for a while...
I feel that it was a beautiful day that she will remember her for the rest of her life, and I also feel very lucky to be able to live this with her before she leaves this world.
Estoy muy feliz de poder haber compartido ese dia con mi abuela y de verla feliz como una niña pequeña , ella llego cansada a la casa y se acostó a descansar un rato...
Siento que fue un bonito día que recordara por le resto de su vida, y yo también, me siento muy afortunado de poder vivir esto con ella antes de que parta de este mundo.

Espero que tu abuela se sienta mejor. Me alegra que hayas podido venir, se lo largo del viaje. Pero que vinieras ahora que ella está viva a compartir esos momentos es muy importantes.
Espero que dure muchos años tu abuela a pesar de la enfermedad.
Amen ojala que dios le de mucha salud ella me conto que por la alegria de verme alla se sentia mejor
