One single photo 💃 | Weekend-Engagement 151 [ENG]

Hello everyone. Today I join the weekend engagement initiative of hiver @galenkp who every week proposes creative themes to share.

This time I selected the option of "one single photo", and it was really complicated for me to try to summarize in a single image what it means to me to live in Argentina, being a foreigner, but I think I succeeded.

In spite of the technological advances and the increasing migration that this country has experienced, many traditions and customs have been preserved, to which those of us who come from abroad have had to adapt.

Argentina is synonymous with asado, soccer and tango. There is not a day that goes by that they are not watching the movements of their favorite sports teams, and if they can enjoy the game while sharing a meal, so much the better!

Although there are the so-called "barras bravas" which are the local hooligans, they are not in the majority and can only be seen at live games, but many do not make it to the stadium and prefer to gather in a place where they can eat and drink in peace.

It is impressive to hear them cheering a goal or lamenting a foul, it is like a sound wave that surrounds you and makes you become one of the group.

With the last World Cup, held in Qatar, it happened every time the national team played, but this is not exclusive to that event, it is something that is experienced daily in every corner of the country. You can imagine how it was when they won the World Cup.

In the photograph we see the restaurant´s owner, in a moment of rest, watching the game, without leaving aside his responsibility.

He is not alone, the place was packed and that was felt not by the turnover of the day, but by the shout of the goal in unison, which made me do the same, like a wave that drags you but without hurting you.

I loved reading your post... I imagine the great emotion that you feel, it's like you say, an energy that invades you and drags you, if I were there I would drink my beer on top of the tsunami wave haha.

I loved your participation friend, I also think that if you managed to capture that essence, I also liked to read and learn a little of how the customs are there, very interesting!

A funny thing is that at first glance this photo looks like a meaningless one but reading it I really liked the context behind it.

I imagine how exciting it must have been when Argentina won the world cup, if people here celebrated as if it were Venezuela, I can't imagine how incredible it must have been to live it in the country itself

I think there are no bigger fans of their people, their roots and their way of life than the Argentines, sometimes it seems unreal to me, but it is something that is in their blood and they are happy with it.
