So, it's been nearly 3 long months since the Lockdown started and I am still in-home quarantine with My family due to this satanic COVID-19 outbreak. I hope all of you are safe too and I would suggest following all the procedure unless you are in a green zone.

But meanwhile, I am more active on Splinterlands than ever nowadays! I am playing and completing quests every day with all three accounts. Even while writing this post, I am playing the diamond tournaments on another tab.

Well, besides playing ranked matches and tournaments, I also write Splinterlands posts every day and try to write quality posts for the Splinterlands curation challenges. Every week we get one Splinterlands to share your battle weakly challenge post and many Splinterlands players actively participate in this post writing contest. In the past, on a weekly basis, Splinterlands used to decide one particular monster for the challenge post and we had to use the monster to win a battle then share our opinions. But since last couple of weeks, the procedural rules have been changed and now focused on the monster abilities. Last week it was about Sneak ability and I wrote a post about my sneak duo - Kobold Miner and Elvin Cutthroat, who are my favourite sneak monsters currently.

This week as well, Splinterlands has announced the Battle challenge and they have chosen the Blast ability for us and I guess everybody is excited with the theme. Many of us love blast monsters, especially in super sneak and melee mayhem matches. I have a decent collection of blast monsters in my Splinterlands card wardrobe as I love to use them often to demolish the backside of my opponents. Sad thing is, I only have been able to buy 1 Yodin Zaku as it is now a viral card in the market for it's overpowered blast ability. But I will upgrade it slowly ;) For now, let me just stay calm with my old blast dudes, Exploding Dwarf and Pirate Archer.

For melee, Exploding Dwarf is my all-time favourite blast monster since the beginning. I have played countless matches with this dwarf, I use him most of the time when I get super sneak, Melee mayhem and Equalizer matches. Also, I can't forget my new blast friend Electric Eel which has proven itself worthy on the battlefield.

For ranged types, both Fire Demon and Pirate Archer are my favourite monsters when it comes to blast opponents. I mainly use them with Selenia to bring down even more devastating damages on the opponent.

For magic type, as you already guessed, my favourite one is Ruler of the Seas. Thou ruler is now an old dude, it is still the saviour or water reign I think. Really, I feel a water collection incomplete without a Ruler (also take Lord in the list). Ruler brings in win many times for me and it's still is a lucky charm for me.

Today, I will be using any 4 of those to win a battle as I do not have any untamed blast cards updated at the moment. I will be using my own account mango-juice to play today. Let us now see what ruleset I get!

Blast

Bizarre! This should be the one word to describe the blast ability. Monsters equipped with blast ability when attacks an opponent monster, it also does damage to the monsters that are adjacent to the targeted monster. We have already seen at least one blast monster in every attack type (melee, ranged or magic).

Ruleset So, It was an Weak Magic ( Magic Monsters attack on the armor first before reducing health). It's a low mana match but my blast pirate only costs me 2 mana so I can clearly use it in my deck!

Mana count It is a low mana match with 20 mana cap!

Summoners This battle supports Fire, water and Dragon summoners.

At this much mana cap, after using the summoner and the pirate archer card, I will be left with only 15 mana. I have to carefully build the dec so that my frontal defence can save me the first 2 rounds at least. I will try to choose 3 range monsters with selenia if the ruleset allows me.

Line-Up

Spineback Turtle

I chose Furious the turtle in the first place so that it would consume a few good attacks from my opponent. Since its a Weak Magic, I chose his large health + shield to protect my front defence as even magic monsters will find it hard to kill him.

Electric Eels

I choose Electric Eel in the second position. At max level, it attacks devastating melee Blast attacks from the reach position which can be very beneficial to break multiple enemies at once.

Furious Chicken

I chose Furious Chicken in the third place so that it would consume one of my enemy attacks. Also, Opportunity monsters will get distracted by this lil chicken as happened in this battle.

Pirate Archer

I chose the king in the fourth place. I have a level 8 and it has +2 range blast attack so with the help of Selenia it will lunch +3 devastating Blast attacks on the opponent. Now we will experience what possibly 2 blast monsters together can do.

Crustacean King

I chose the king in the fifth place. I have only a level 6 but I use him a lot of time cause of it's Shield and healing ability. Moreover, with the help of Selenia, it will shoot +2 range attacks also.

NAGA WINDMASTER

I chose the naga wind master at the last position of my lineup. At max level, it possesses 3 abilities, Headwinds (-1 range to all enemy monsters), Shatter (if attacks on a shield, destroys it down) and poison (when attack, has a chance to apply poison to enemy monsters, which will cause health loss at the beginning of each round). Seriously, at max level, it is your perfect ranger for 4 mana cost.

First, let us follow the opponent's line-up...

• My opponent @chorock used Malric against me.
• At the front position, he used Lord lev 3. He chooses the best in class to defend his front but I think my archers can handle him well.
• At the second position, he used Creeping Ooze level 6.
• At the third position, he puts Dagon Jumper to eat my small monsters.
• At the fourth position, he chose Crustacean King to give a layer of extra shield and heal.
• At the last position, he chose the furious chicken.

Battle Link

Well, first of all, I would say that my opponent's line up was very strong. His Lord could be enough to kill me but the lucky wind was blowing to my side and my archers, specially the pirate archer outrun the defensive deck.

• At the first round, my pirate archer made a kill debut and with the help of blast attack, he took down the injured ooze.
• At the second round, the opponent's Jumper was successful to kill my chicken but it loses total 2 attacks to kill the chicken what went on my favour. Then, naga killed the Lord with its sharp blow.
• At the third round, the naga killed one more monster, this time it was the poor dragon jumper. The last two monsters were the king and the Chicken. They also got killed without doing any harm back.

The credit really goes to Selenia as she made my archers overpowered by giving +1 range attack to all 3 of them. Pirate archer also performed a few numbers of blasts to break the opponent's shields. The turtle did a heroic job at the front defence. So, it's all of their teamwork that gifted me with a victory.
