Food photography | Summer means trying out new dishes

Hello readers,

I hope all of you are spending an awesome day with your loved ones and also enjoying these beautiful summer days. For me, I live somewhere near the Equator line so summer is obviously not my favourite season. The scorching summer heat has already started warming the environment and the sweat season has come after all. It's only the middle of March and already I can't get outside at noon time without getting a hard tan on my body, needless to say staying outside will be much more painful soon. I am just beginning to imagine how hot this summer will be and during this long season, I only prefer to go outside after sunset because, during that time no one goes out until its work or an emergency. Until the rainy season visits us here which comes generally during May and June, we have no way but to survive this unbearable heat and I just hope the electricity stays with me all the time because without a Fan or AC, I would just die sweating.

However, while I enjoy spending the winter season travelling and experiencing the local tourist attractions like the one I shared in my previous photography blog, in the summer time I hardly do such activities and prefer to stay at home most of the times. But sometimes when I really bored after spending days or even weeks watching movies or TV series or interacting online, I go out during the evening or night time and visit the local street food carts or restaurants, mostly with my wife to enjoy some mouth watering dishes. So today, let me share some of my such old memories with you all.

I am a born foodie and whenever I see a newly opened street food shop or a restaurant, I always make a plan with my wife or sometimes with my friends to visit them and give an unexpected treat to my tastebuds. I mostly love Indian and Chinese dishes but also have a special corner for pizzas in my heart. Last year, I went to visit a newly opened pizza parlour that just started business near my hometown and in the picture above, I have shared those old memories and still remember the yummy taste of the warm Cheese stuffed inside the pizza. It was a nice looking restaurant with a soothing air-conditioned environment and I went there with my wife and had a good time together. The place was crowded with customers and the restaurant was doing really well in spite of being newly opened. We enjoyed a medium size pizza named “So Cheesy Chicken Pizza” and as for starters, we ordered spicy chicken kebab wings and both of them were really delicious and mouth watering.

Now moving on to the next photo which I took in October last year and by then the Summer hotness was starting to fade away and we just started to go outside during morning time. One fine day we decided to visit the city centre market together and my brother also joined with us. That day we discovered a newly opened Kebab restaurant there and decided to try out something and ended up ordering a new kind of Kebab that I hadn't tried out before. I forgot the name but it was so creamy and the taste was not spicy but a little bit sweet and cheesy. We enjoyed the dish with flat bread and thank God we thought to try it out as it was indeed finger licking tasty. After having the main dish we also enjoyed ice creams afterwards and they were locally made and much more delicious than the packaged ones, so it was a great time spent indeed for 3 of us that day.

Last but not least, let me share another picture in which 3 of us visited a restaurant that only serves different types of Biriyani dishes and kebabs and is very famous in the city. After waiting for around 1 hour in the waiting lounge, we finally got able to reserve a table for us and ordered 1 plate of Mutton Biriyani each and one plate of mutton Curry dish. The restaurant is named Arsalan and it is a big restaurant franchise spread all over our country and really famous and not to say that we also really enjoyed the taste. Normally Biriyani is a spicy and rich and oily dish but this one was so light and a lot tastier. However, I felt the dishes were a bit overpriced but anyway, we really liked the environment and the taste and also had a great time together.

I hope you liked reading my post and enjoyed watching the photos that I shared. Are you also a foodie like me and what’s your favourite dish? Let me know in the comment section below and I’ll be seeing you all in my next post.
