I visited the second largest Planetarium in the world

Hello readers,

I hope you all are having an amazing day with your family and friends and also spent an awesome weekend time yesterday. Weekend is like a remedy for us after a long working week, especially for those who work in offices or in businesses and can’t give enough time to their families or loved ones. On weekends, most of us love to do what our hearts tell us to and spend the day joyfully without having the duty to carry our daily work pressure. Some play outdoor games or enjoy playing digital games at home or cafes, some go on a ride or go to a restaurant to devour a happy meal, some go on a tour to experience nature or any special festival and the list goes on. Some people also do different things as learning something new in their free time like any musical instrument or anything related to their hobbies and some like me just spend the whole day lying on the couch or bed and watching TV series or movies. It is the day when no one controls our time or makes us feel guilty for not following our daily routine and I love it whenever I see a Sunday is coming soon in the calendar.

Though as a full-time Hiver myself, Sunday is not different than any other weekday for me as Hive doesn't get closed on Sunday 😅. To be honest, I don't even think of this as a job because I just like what I do on this platform and always miss any day when I am not online. Playing splinterlands, writing blogs or interacting with my fellow hivers is what I do basically on this platform and it never bores me out. So I don't really feel the need to have a weekend because of work pressure. But however, spending long hours every day in front of my PC and not going out daily sometimes makes me feel trapped and my mood also gets sad after a certain point. So sometimes, I get a feeling to go out and experience the outside world, consume some fresh air, see the beautiful nature and experience new or old things that match my interest. I also love to get surrounded by unwanted noises when going out in the city, as that comes for free always in this city of joy. Since my marriage last year, I have migrated to the city with my wife and we have developed some New activities together like trying out the restaurants, visiting various tourist attractions spread across the city or just visiting the local parks to spend some nature time. We really enjoy these times together while exploring and enjoying new places and since last year, we have finished watching some of the best things the city offers. Just yesterday my brother came and joined us two and together, we went to visit the world-famous Birla Planetarium and thought to share my experience with all of you.

A planetarium is a place where people visit to watch and learn about the night sky, solar system and stars. It is similar to a cinema hall but instead of a flat screen, it’s a special building that has a dome like ceiling and circular seat arrangements. Instead of normal projectors, a special project is used here that projects films 360 degrees on the dome ceiling and viewers can enjoy this magnificent view like they are watching the clear night sky without any interference. The Planetarium that we visited is named M.P. Birla Planetarium and it is the second biggest Planetarium in the world and I also found out this fact just yesterday.

There was a long waiting line outside the Planetarium and a large group of people were waiting outside calmly to book the tickets and enjoy this special show. It was approximately 1.5$ price per ticket and sadly no online booking was available so we had to wait in the queue and get those tickets. However, though the summer has come here already, the weather was cloudy and pleasant yesterday so we enjoyed our time outside the hall and clicked some pictures of the garden and fountains outside of the Planetarium as you can see in this post. Taking pictures inside the hall was strictly prohibited so I didn't dare to click any inside. But it is a large hall with at least 250 seats and air-conditioned. Not only local people but I saw a group of foreigners also came to experience the show and really felt good that this place was attracting tourists from across the ocean.

It was a 40 - 45 minute show and in the show, it was all about stars, planets and the history of space research and what is being researched in current time. We really enjoyed the show and after the show ended, we also visited the small museum attached next to the dome hall where statues of great space researchers and scientists were being displayed along with pictures of stars and galaxies etc. It was a great time together and these little precious memories always bring joy into our life and I would encourage you all to do the same.

I hope you enjoyed watching the photos and also liked reading my post. What do you do when the weekend hits you? Let me know in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

It looks like a very fascinating place! I've never been in a Planetarium so big.
