My investment and battle strategy during the Splinterlands season end

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands warriors!

I am fine and I hope you are enjoying the day with your friends and family and also playing and trying to reach your goals in this game in the meantime as well. While am writing this, Less than 2 days left for this ongoing season to end and obviously the great battle for the leaderboard has started already in the ranked arena. You probably know that each of the splinterlands ranked seasons lasts between 14 - 16 days, but around this time when the season is about to end within the next 2 days, the arena gets crowded with players battling with all their best potentials in order to reach their goal tier or secure a place in the leaderboard of the league they are playing. Me, as usual, I am playing in the Diamond League and right now trying my best to reach the top 3 positions in the Diamond lb to secure a good dec reward by the season's end but this season, the competition is a bit more than usual and giving me a tough time to reach my destination. In this post, I will share my own strategy and planning for the season's end, so let's get going!

First of all, thou there is still almost 2 days left for the season, I have already reached my season chests goal and while I targeted to collect at least 100 season chests, I am already sitting with 102 reward chest and with another 2 days in hand, I think I can another 6-8 rewards chests before the season could end. I also did something extraordinary on the last day and for the first time in my life, I completed collecting 30/30 daily chests from playing a single focus mission. Yes, if you don't know, there’s a top cap on both season chests and daily focus chests in which you can collect max 30 chests from a single focus mission and can collect max 150 chests from season chests in a single season. However, thou I collected a whooping amount of 30 reward chests, I didn't get anything fancy - just around 36 total SPS, a couple of common and rare reward cards, and all rest are merits and potions.

However, I again played for a while today as well and got the Anti-Melee rule as my today’s focus mission. From the excessive playing on the last day, my energy bar was already low and today after playing for some time, it went down to Zero and blocked me from playing. But I was still far away from the top 3 spots so I decided to buy some energy with dec to continue my playing. To recharge 1 energy while playing in Diamond, one would have to spend 150 dec and as my energy bar was depleted down to 0, I decided to buy 25 energies which cost me 3750 dec in total. As the rule goes, after you buy your first 25 energy, the next energies in Diamond will cost you 50% extra = 225 dec per energy if purchased within the same day, so I didn't buy any more energies after the first 25 as it would have cost me 50% more. But as you can, I have used those 25 energies as well and am now again back to 0 energy in my acc however, thou I am still about 300 trophies away, I managed to collect 23 focus chests for today already and have another 18 hours left, I will surely play one more time when it gets recharged back a bit and try to add some chests to it while trying for the leaderboard.

Rent to increase performance

If you look at my splinterlands card collection, I have a modern format collection including a complete chaos legion set and almost complete Riftwatchers set cards along with most of the promo cards (excluding Vruz and Zyriel) and I also have some gold untamed and dice edition cards as well, but sadly I am missing many important cards from untamed + dice sets, especially some summoners which I think are a must-have in order to compete against the OG players. So, as I was having an active brawl, 2 tournaments, and also the season end on my head, I decided to rent some cards to bring some extra boost to my performance.

These are the 3 cards that I rented from the market and if you are decent players, you know the importance of these 3 cards already. The first card that I rented was the max-level Byzantine Kitty summoner which I think is the best or most powerful summoner in modern format gameplay and there’s no chance you can battle with the topper of splinterlands without having this card. Well, this is one of the highest priced cards in splinterlands as well and I had to spend 1796.5 dec per day to rent this card and I rented it for 3 days, until the season lasts.

The second card that I rented was another legendary untamed summoner Lir Deepswimmer which is very important to have and is a great choice against ranged monsters as well. I spent 288.94 Dec per day to rent this max summoner and rented for the same 3 days.

The last card that I rented was a max-level Vruz card and thou this card is not yet highly used in battles, I personally like to play with Sneak monsters and wanted to try this monster in battles as I don't own this promo gem card yet. Despite being a rarely available promo card, It only cost me only 35.47 dec per day to rent this card in and I did the same and took it for only 3 days.

Yes, I have spent a decent amount of extra investment in this splinter season and I hope I cover these expenses by winning a cool prize from the leaderboard but even if that doesn't happen, I will be still happy cause I am really loving to use these 3 cards in battles as they also bringing me better win rate than before. Now, let’s see how these next 2 days go for me and if I can finally manage to sneak into the top 3 positions before the end time, wish me luck folks cause I going to need them this time!
