Splinterlands Anchor-Hex Adept | A heavy defensive magic thrower

Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another sporty and juicy Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing absolutely great in your lives and enjoying your day while continuing your Splinterlands journey. If we look at the ongoing season's clock, the current ranked season still has around 9 days and 5 hours remaining before it comes to an end, so there is still plenty of time left to grind battles and work toward those trophy goals. Whether you are trying to reach a higher league and tier and unlock better and more rewards, or eventually make a push toward the top champion leaderboard for a position, I wish all of you the very best for the remaining days of the season.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, I am currently battling in the Gold I league with 3,040 trophies. My first objective this season is to reach the 4,200 trophy milestone, and after reaching that point, I will try to make another push toward the leaderboard if I have enough Battle Energy and time remaining. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 45 raffle entries collected. There are around 2 days and 4 hours remaining before the raffle ends, and I am aiming to reach somewhere between 54 and 57 entries this time.

Today's Frontier Daily Wheel was also a little interesting. I reached my 96th consecutive daily streak today, and I first received the Carnival card skin from the wheel. However, since I had already collected that skin before, I received 100 Sparks along with an additional 25 bonus Sparks instead. My total Sparks balance has now reached 25,684, so I will continue collecting them and see what the upcoming rewards bring.

Apart from that, today I also opened 5 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' rewards. The opening turned out to be quite good, as I managed to pull 2 Legendary cards, 2 Epic cards, and 4 Rare cards, including 1 Archon. The remaining cards were all regular Common cards. Getting two Legendary cards and two Epic cards from only five packs is definitely a satisfying result, so I am quite happy with today's opening.

Anchor-Hex Adept
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting card from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be discussing the Anchor-Hex Adept. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
Anchor-Hex Adept belongs to the Earth element and comes from the Rodentian bloodline. It is classified as a Rare monster card and costs 7 mana to deploy. This monster uses Magic attacks, allowing it to deal direct damage to enemy Health under normal circumstances. What immediately stands out about this card is its heavy defensive stat combination, especially its Armor, while it also carries decent Magic attack power. At maximum level, Anchor-Hex Adept possesses three different abilities that make it even more useful against both Magic and physical attackers. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE
At Level 2, Anchor-Hex Adept possesses 2 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 5 Health. Even at this level, it already comes with its first defensive ability called DIVINE SHIELD, which allows it to completely ignore all damage from one attack before the shield is destroyed.

DIVINE SHIELD – Ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed.
SILVER
At Level 4, Anchor-Hex Adept maintains 2 Magic attack and 3 Speed while its Armor increases to 4, giving it even better defensive strength. At this level, it also unlocks VOID ARMOR, which makes incoming Magic attacks damage its Armor before reaching its Health.

VOID ARMOR – Magic attacks hit Armor before Health.
GOLD
At Level 6, Anchor-Hex Adept improves to 3 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 4 Armor, and 6 Health. Although it does not gain a new ability at this stage, the increased Magic attack and Health make it both a stronger attacker and a more durable monster on the battlefield.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
At Level 8, Anchor-Hex Adept reaches its maximum form with 3 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 5 Armor, and 6 Health. At maximum level, it unlocks its final ability called BLIND, which increases the chance of all enemy Melee and Ranged attacks missing their targets.

BLIND – All enemy Melee and Ranged attacks have a 15% higher chance to miss their target. Blind also affects units with Phase.
I think Anchor-Hex Adept is a very interesting defensive Magic attacker. First of all, its heavy Armor and decent Health make it quite durable, while its 3 Magic attack at maximum level gives it enough offensive power to remain dangerous. For a 7 mana cost, I think this combination of defence and direct Magic damage makes the card useful in many different situations. The Void Armor ability makes it even stronger against Magic attackers because incoming Magic attacks have to damage its Armor before reaching its Health, giving it another important layer of protection. Then we have Blind, which helps the entire team by increasing the chance of enemy Melee and Ranged attackers missing their targets. This can become very useful during a close battle because even a single missed attack can completely change the outcome of a round. Finally, Divine Shield gives this monster protection from the very first attack it receives, regardless of how powerful that attack is. Overall, I believe Anchor-Hex Adept is a solid combination of defence and Magic attack. It may not have extremely high Speed, but its heavy Armor, useful abilities, and decent Magic damage make it a monster worth considering when you need a durable Magic attacker in your lineup.

STOPI like Void Armor more, where the effect of Magic Power is nullified.
Yeah it is like playing with weak magic ruleset advantage, but only on my side 😅
I don't know, for some reason I cannot bring myself to play Frontier mode, Modern Ranked Champion and even Survival is a lot more interesting to play :)
Very nice post though.
If you compare playing frontier mode reward wise it would not attract you at all. I just okay it because I can stay competitive here with free cards 😅
True, reward wise there is no comparison, but also I feel like there is so much more variety in maxed out cards with all the abilities and combinations, Frontier mode doesn't have that...
