Splinterlands | Earning SPS using Glint tokens

What’s up Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this awesome day with your loved ones. If you are a splinterlands player like me, the most probably you are brainstorming with the new update that just recently got launched and changed the reward system entirely in ranked section. From now on, there will be no more reward chests and no more try your luck event everyday when opening the daily focus chests or the season chests every 2 weeks. Instead of the chests, we will be getting Glint tokens in place of Reward points and can use these glint tokens to buy reward card draws, merit, battle energy, legendary and gold Potion and some rare titles as well.

Now players can create a strategy on their own depending on which they want first, more cards especially legendary and epic or gold Foil reward cards or gladius cards or more SPS by buying energy and playing. This reward update is more specific towards user needs where a new user may focus on drawing cards first to build a good playing deck while those who already have enough cards can go for more SPS or merits, titles etc. Just yesterday, I used the highest rarity Master Draw to pull 10 reward cards and surprisingly, only 10 pull have brought me multiple copies of Legendary, Epic and Gold Foil cards which I have shared in my last post.

Reward Shop

Now here is the layout of the reward shop in the screenshot above and you can see there’s 5 different types of draws in the upper row and the rarer ones tends to bring better cards but cost more and more Glint. Last day I bought 10 Draws which costed me 50k Glint but obviously the outcome is also very fruitful, at least in my case. However, as I have all the common and rare SB reward cards at max level and also many excess copies just ideally sitting there, I decided to burn those extra cards for Going tokens to increase my Glint balance.

Burn for Glint

As you can see, every soul bound reward card can now be burned for Glint tokens and these glint tokens can be used directly in the shop. If you have been playing this game for a long time then most probably you have more cards than you need for playing. As for example, burning this legendary reward cards card above would give me 12.5k Glint tokens which is not bad at all. I burned many copies of Rares also burned some excess Epics and legendaries as well and all together collected over 200k Glint token for that. But what I will be actually doing with so much glint? Let me share my easy plan below.

My Strategy

As I am Having enough reward cards and only some legs and epics left, I will be using the master Draw every season to try to get those missing legs and epics and with all the rest glints that I have, I have decided to buy energies with them and play more ranked matches so that I can actually can more SPS and turn these non value Glint tokens into something valuable. As you can see from above, I also have bought a big chunk of SPS delegation and now got me 272k SPS temporarily in my account to boost my SPS earning and while I am all ready to loot SPS in ranked, I will use these Glint tokens everyday to play more ranked matches and earn more SPS.

Buying Energy with Glint

Now I have bought all 25 energies for today and each of them costed me 3600 glint and that’s a lot of spending in there. I have used that all and my own energy to play today and in total it has earned me a sweet 791.64 SPS. That’s how I am converting glint to SPS by just playing a bit more and I am enjoying every bit of it. I was earning around 10 SPS before the SPS Delegation purchase but now I am earning around 24 SPS per win, while is just fantastic and worth playing for. i spent around 5500 DEC for the delegation and it will last for 7 days, but by then I will utilize it fully and even thinking to rent some important cards that I am still missing.

Brawl Talk

Now moving forward, let me now talk about brawls and those who are well known with the game do know that it is the main source of merit tokens which is the only currency to buy gladius packs. Thankfully I am actively playing brawl with the Neoxian Guild and mot only Merits but also earning SPS for playing brawls. We just finished playing another brawl today and the results also came out and Gladly, we have made it to the second place this time! Thanks to our guild owner Mr. Neoxian, Guild Officer Xawi and all my fellow guild mates who played so well in this brawl. As For rewards, the guild Won a total of 192 crowns and each Guild member who played in this brawl got rewarded with 721.71 SPS and 11,520 merit tokens.
