Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another amazingly amazing Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying an awesome weekend with your family and friends. Now, if you are one of those who are actively engaging in this Web3 game, then I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and frontier season as well, while eagerly waiting for the upcoming weekend. At the time of writing this post, there are only around 3 days and 1 hour left before the current ranked season comes to an end. So, while the remaining time is getting shorter, this is definitely the time when you need to make the most of your battles and continue pushing your trophies. Whether it is to steadily push and shove and reach your goal league tier or secure a seat in the top champion leaderboard, I hope you are also enjoying your battles and making good progress toward your own goals.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, as usual, I am currently battling in the Gold I league and sitting at around 3770 trophies. My current target is to first reach 4200 trophies and then try to push further towards the leaderboard. With only a few days remaining, hopefully I can continue making steady progress and reach my target before the season comes to an end.

Apart from that, today is my 132nd consecutive streak day, which is another nice little milestone for me. I got a free spin today and received 500 + 125 Sparks along with the free spin. Then I made a second spin and received another 50 + 13 Sparks. After all of that, my total Spark balance has reached 19,305. Slowly but steadily, these daily rewards are adding up, and I am really enjoying keeping this streak alive.

As you can see from the screenshot above, today I opened a total of 9 foundation packs that I earned from the last 3 days' reward missions. I got 3 legendaries, 2 epics, 8 rares including 2 archons, 1 gold foil common and the rest as regular common cards. I am pretty happy with the outcome and never thought I would get 3 legendaries and 2 epics and even 1 gold foil card from just 9 packs. Let's now see if my luck also shines the next time.

Joraki Venshiro

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Joraki Venshiro. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this high-powered ranged attacker, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.

Joraki Venshiro is a monster type card that comes from the Death element and belongs to the Drakoshan bloodline. It is an Epic type card, so you would require a total of 46 CC cards to upgrade it to max level. It costs 8 mana to deploy and uses Ranged attacks, making it a powerful attacker for medium to high mana limit battles. At maximum level, this monster possesses four different abilities, giving it a combination of offensive power, defensive support, and anti-healing utility. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE

At Level 2, Joraki Venshiro possesses 3 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, and 6 Health. It does not have any Armor at this level, but it already comes with two useful abilities called PAINFORGE and BLIND.

PAINFORGE – Gains +1 Power when damaged by Poisoned or Burning, or when hit by an allied unit.

BLIND – All enemy Melee and Ranged attacks have a 15% higher chance of missing.

SILVER

At Level 3, Joraki Venshiro improves to 4 Ranged attack while maintaining 3 Speed and 6 Health. At this stage, it unlocks another powerful offensive ability called PIERCING.

PIERCING – Damage in excess of the target's Armor is applied to Health.

GOLD

At Level 5, Joraki Venshiro reaches 5 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, and 8 Health. Although it does not gain a new ability at this stage, the increase in both its attack power and Health makes it considerably stronger on the battlefield.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 6, Joraki Venshiro reaches its maximum level with 5 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, and 8 Health. At this stage, it unlocks its final ability called AFFLICTION.

AFFLICTION – Has a 50% chance to apply Affliction to the target after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.

My Opinion About the Monster

First of all, even though Joraki Venshiro costs 8 mana to deploy, I think its overall statistics balance that mana cost quite well. It comes with a heavy Ranged attack, decent Speed, and a good amount of Health. Starting with 3 attack and 3 Speed at Bronze and eventually reaching 5 attack, 3 Speed, and 8 Health at maximum level gives this monster a very solid offensive presence. The 8 mana cost means that it will not be suitable for every battle, especially in low mana limit matches, but whenever you have enough mana available, this monster has plenty of firepower to justify taking up a large portion of your team.

Then we have PAINFORGE, which is a particularly interesting ability because it gives Joraki Venshiro a way to gain additional attack power when certain damage conditions are triggered. If it gets damaged by Poison or Burning, or even gets hit by an allied unit, it gains +1 Power. This opens up some interesting possibilities when building a lineup around it. If you can deliberately create a situation where Joraki Venshiro receives one of these types of damage, you can turn that damage into additional offensive power.

The next ability, BLIND, gives Joraki Venshiro another very useful role within the team. It increases the chance of enemy Melee and Ranged attacks missing by 15%. This means the card is not only there to attack the opponent, but can also provide defensive support to your lineup.

At Silver level, Joraki Venshiro unlocks PIERCING, and this ability works extremely well together with its already large Ranged attack. Whenever it attacks a heavily armoured enemy, the damage that goes beyond the target's Armor is applied to its Health. This can make Joraki Venshiro particularly dangerous against units that rely heavily on Armor for protection.

Finally, we have AFFLICTION, which I think is another very useful addition to this monster. At maximum level, Joraki Venshiro gets a 50% chance to apply Affliction after a successful attack, preventing the affected enemy from being healed. This can be extremely useful when facing lineups that depend heavily on healing to keep their frontline alive.

Overall, I think Joraki Venshiro is a very powerful Ranged attacker with a really interesting collection of abilities. It has strong offensive power, useful defensive support through Blind, extra damage potential through Painforge, Armor-breaking pressure through Piercing, and anti-healing utility through Affliction. For me, the combination of heavy attack power and these four different abilities is what makes Joraki Venshiro such an interesting new Reward card.
