Hola Splinterland Players!

I hope you all are doing good and enjoying Splinterlands!

Well, it's been a hectic season for me. I even feel lazy nowadays to complete the daily quests as no longer I have any interest in getting more and more DEC dust or some common cards. I m not complaining, but In spite of battling mostly in champ tier, I am getting only shit cards and forget the last time I pulled a good legendary or gold foil from reward loot chests where I am getting double the better cards from my alts battling in the same tier. But Let's just take it as a bit of bad luck and let us move forward with hope. Who knows, maybe the next season is bringing lots of happiness :)

Anyways, I am still trying my best to champ I this season with my own account. I have already reached Champion II and currently holding 4493 trophies. My current DEC mana bar is at 90% and I may play a couple of matches afterwards but that depends on my mood as I am really into a TV series today, Special Ops ;)

Now coming back to our main subject, there is good news for all of us as Splinterlands have launched some dashing new reward cards. They are going to release a total of 14 reward cards to the collection, which will get randomly distributed through reward loot chests. Still now from their last couple of posts, they have release 9 monsters so far with their level chart with abilities and other stats.

The new cards are planned by the SL team to be released on Monday, June 29th, around 9 - 10 AM ET. Stay tuned as they have also released a New Reward summoner and a new ability!

So, without further ado, Let me showcase you the brand new range of those awesome cards!

Kretch Tallevor

image.png

Kretch Tallevor is the 2nd reward summoner card that we will get after Daria Dragonscale which got printed out months ago. At 3 mana cost, you can use this dragon summoner to use any splinter monster along with the monsters from the nutral and dragon reign. This mana doesn't provide and buffs or debuffs but I think this will be a great alternative to play dragon monsters in Silenced ruleset matches. We have already seen DELWYN DRAGONSCALE at 5 mana cost and DARIA DRAGONSCALE at 4 mana but we didn't have a suitable one for silenced matches. Currently, the powerless 2 mana summoners are very high priced at the market so I think this will get popularity soon.

  • This summoner does not hold any buffs or debuffs and can be used as alternatives of 2 mana summoners in silenced matches.

Phantasm

image.png

I am definitely not a great Death fan but this one looks promising in high mana battles. At 10 mana cost, this monster has 3 abilities with high HP and speed which fits it in the tank category. As per the official stat, you can see how devasting it can be at max level. Flying ability + high speed will help it evade multiple melees and ranged attacks while the Retaliate and Return Fire will help it damage the enemy.

  • Flying - Has increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from enemies who do not possess the flying ability.
  • Retaliate - When get hit by a melee attack, has a chance to attack back the attacker.
  • Return Fire - When get hit by ranged monsters, does reduced damage back to the attacker.

Bila the Radiant

image.png

Our prayers have been heard and we finally are getting a big monster in the Life reign. At 8 mana cost, the Bila may become a great warrior in high mana matches. It is a legendary magic monster with high magic power with decent health but what makes it lucrative is her abilities. At level 4, she carries 3 abilities, Life leech (increases own health whenever damages an enemy monster), Divine Shield (damage from the first hit will get ignored) and Stun (has a chance to stun the target and make him paralyzed for 1 round).

  • Life Leech - Each time it attacks and decreases an enemy's health, it's health gets increased.
  • Divine Shield - The first attack it gets get ignored and doesn't harm it in any way.
  • Stun - When hit a target, has a chance to apply stun on him making him paralyzed for 1 round.

Sand Worm

image.png

The sand worm is another great addition to the sneak group. But this one is gigantic and fearless. They live in the desert of Draykh-Nahka and with the awaking of various Untamed Prophecies, they have mysteriously grown themselves even larger. At 9 mana cost, this monster can launch devastating attacks on tour opponent's tail. At max level, it possesses 7 melee sneak attack at 4 speed with 7 health. It also carries 3 abilities at max level. They are

  • Sneak - Target the last monster of the opponent's line up.
  • Snare - While attacking flying monsters, removes the flying ability and cannot miss.
  • Piercing - While breaking down the armor of an opponent, the remaining damage will affect directly to the health.

Silvershield Sheriff

image.png

The Sheriff department just got a new veteran in their team. Since the big mana war has started, the Life reign was hopeless without a good number of heavy hitters, having only a couple of large mana monsters on their side, they were facing more losses than ever. That's why they have recruited the elite crossbow expert from the badlands. At 9 mana cost, this card provides a gruesome 5 sniper attack which may kill many enemy backline monsters with a blow, at 4 speed with 9 health. It carries 3 abilities at max level, such as...

  • Sniper - Target enemy monsters with range, magic or no attack power and those who are not in the first position.

  • Piercing - While breaking down the armor of an opponent, the remaining damage will affect directly to the health.

  • Protect - All friendly monsters get +2 armor.
    image.png

Fineas Rage

image.png

Good news for those who are lacking good melee monsters at high mana super sneak or melee mayhem matches. Splinterlands has announced another great reward monster, Fineas Rage! At 7 mana cost, I think it will be the next big choice for the splinter warriors, especially in non-legendary high mana matches. At max level, this monster carries 4 melee attack at 6 speed and 11 health. This is the first monster as well to have Oppress ability. It also possesses 3 abilities at max level, such as ...

  • Reach - Melee monsters having reach ability can attack from the second position.
  • Oppress - Monsters with the Oppress ability will do double damage to any targets that have no attack!
  • Retaliate - When get hit by a melee attack, has a chance to attack back the attacker.

Kelp Initiate

image.png

If you are already mumbling about not getting a low mana cost monsters, smile again cause Kelp Initiate is here to soothe you. At 2 mana cost, it is another great addition in the water reign after Ice Pixie. Thou it does not hold any attack power, but at 2 mana cost, it gives you a vast amount of tan health with high speed and 2 abilities, which I think is the best atm you can get with 2 mana in water tribe. At max level, it carries 9 health with 6 speed and possesses 2 abilities such as... Can I just call it the mini edition of Mermaid Healer? lol XD

  • Cleanse - Removes all negative effects from the friendly monster in the first position.
  • Triage - Heals the backline monster that has taken the most damage.
    image.png

Onyx Sentinel

image.png

Wow! Splinterlands has bought another great tank card in the Neutral section! At 5 mana count, this monster thou lacking any attack power can become a good alternative of Lord Arihanthus in non-legendary matches as it's an epic rarity card. I really like the graphics of this monster and I hope they pop out often in my loot chests. At max level, it carries 4 abilities at 8 health and 1 speed. The abilities are...

  • Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged monsters.
  • Void - Take reduced damage from magic attacks.
  • Throne - When get hit by melee monsters, does damage back to the attacker.
  • Return Fire - When get hit by ranged monsters, does reduced damage back to the attacker.
    image.png

Grim Reaper

image.png

WOW! Another card with the oppress ability. Will this ability be a hit in the battlefield? Well, a little bit of more wait to find it out! Anyways, this new death addiction is looking a good choice for range attack. I have heard that only the ones who are dying or having near-death experience can experience its existence. At 6 mana cost, Grim Reaper is helping its fellow monsters with 4 ranged attack at 4 speed with 6 health. At max level, it carries 3 abilities, such as...

  • Affliction - When attacks an opponent monster, has a chance to apply affliction on the enemy that causes unable to regain health (cannot be healed).
  • Oppress - Monsters with the Oppress ability will do double damage to any targets that have no attack!
  • Piercing - While breaking down the armor of an opponent, the remaining damage will affect directly to the health.

image.png

Well, still they have only announced 9 out of total 14 of them and 5 more monsters are yet to be discovered.

  • Out of these 9 cards, we have 1 summoner and 8 monster cards.
  • Out of these 9 cards, We are getting 2 commons, 4 rares, 2 epics and 1 legendary card.
  • Out of these 9 cards, we are getting 1 fire, 1 Water, 2 Life, 2 Death, 1 dragon and 2 Nutral monsters.

I think these new reward cards will be loved by the player and soon will hustle in the battlefield. My personal favourite card among them is the 2 mana Kelp Initiate which I think will help a lot in equalizer matches. Also, the new dragon summoner looks coll and as I have said earlier, it will become a good alternar=tive in silenced ruleset matches.

I hope you liked my article. I will be pleased to know all of your feelings.

  1. Which is your favourite card among all of those above and why?
  1. Will you choose the Kretch Tallevor over normal 2 mana summoners for silenced matches and why?

I think the Phantasm will be my favorite card, but I very happy about the new summoner too. I will definitely be using Kretch unless it's a very low mana battle because he gives me access to my dragon cards and any other splinter I choose.

I don't think I would use that summoner unless I had it leveled up a bit.. say level 6 or better. At lease then my other cards would have skills to use. As for favorites right now... no clue. I have to get my hands on them and see how they work to make a choice. Soon enough I will have a chance tho!

Unless we upgrade this summoner to match our cards.. it is not ideal to use it. 🤘
