Welcome back to another amazing Splinterlands post guys, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and spending an energetic and amazing day with your family and friends. For those of you who are actively grinding in this awesome web3 strategy-based card game and trying to improve your progress and NFT card & asset collection, I believe most of you are currently battling hard in the ranked season arena and continuously trying to climb higher in the trophy ladder and reach your goal asap. If we take a quick look at the current ranked season timer, there are still around 7 days and 23 hours left before the season reset happens, so there is still enough time left for grinding missions, collecting rewards, and pushing toward higher league tiers.

Now talking about my own progress in the foundaton mode of the game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,620. My target for this season remains the same as usual, first reaching the 4,200 trophy mark and then trying for a leaderboard position if everything goes smoothly from there.

Of course, another interesting thing happening right now in the game is the Lux’s Favor daily chest rewards. Today marked my 5th streak, and honestly, the rewards turned out pretty nice this time. Yes, I finally managed to win a free spin along with 550 Sparks, two times back to back, and then later got another 165 Sparks as well. Right now, my total Sparks count stands at around 2,720 and let's see how much time it takes for me to buy those shiny outfits or my foundation cards.

On the other hand, if we take a quick look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I currently hold a total of 33 entries and there are still around 1 day and 22 hours left before the raffle draw happens. This time, I will once again try to push and shove my way toward around 54 to 57 entries before the timer runs out. Apart from that, today I also opened a total of 5 Foundation packs that I had collected from the last 2 days of rewards. The outcome was actually pretty decent because I managed to pull 2 Epic cards, 5 Rare cards including 1 Archon, and the rest Common cards.

Silver Shield Sentry

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be discussing another interesting monster from the newest Escalation mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Silver Shield Sentry. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.

The Silver Shield Sentry is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation mini card set. This monster belongs to the Life element and comes from the Feliform bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. If you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a pretty high 9 mana, which makes it more suitable for medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Ranged, and apart from its strong attack power, it also comes with increasing armor and several defensive abilities that make it extremely difficult to eliminate. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of three abilities that make it both offensive and defensive at the same time. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more about this monster.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster already possesses decent stats that consist of 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armor and 5 health. Apart from these solid stats, it also gains the Close Range ability from its early levels. This ability is extremely useful because it allows the monster to continue attacking even while placed in the first position.

CLOSE RANGE – Can use ranged attacks from the front position.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve and it now carries 4 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 2 armor and 5 health. At this level, it also unlocks another amazing ability called Bulwark. This ability transforms the monster into a gigantic frontline tank capable of absorbing massive amounts of physical damage.

BULWARK – When in first position, -2 power, +8 health, and +8 armor.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve once again and it now possesses 5 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor and 5 health. Even though it does not gain any new abilities at this level, the increased attack power and armor make it much stronger in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, its stats improve even further and it now carries 5 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 5 armor and 5 health. At this level, it also gains another extremely useful ability called Rebirth. This ability makes the monster even more annoying to eliminate completely.

REBIRTH – Self-resurrects once per battle with 1 health and 100% armor. All magic debuffs are removed and all magic buffs are reapplied. The resurrected unit skips its turn.

Last but not least, I think this monster is one of the most defensive ranged monsters in the game right now. Even though its mana cost is quite high, the massive combination of health, armor, and strong attack power makes it an extremely well-guarded unit. The ranged attack itself is already pretty powerful even from its initial level. nother major advantage is definitely the Close Range ability, which is personally my favorite ability on this monster. It allows the monster to attack even from the first position, meaning it can work as both a frontline defender and an attacker at the same time. The Bulwark ability is honestly insane if you are looking for an almost indestructible frontline tank. Once placed in the first position, the monster gains an enormous amount of extra health and armor, making it extremely effective against melee and ranged attacks. Finally comes the Rebirth ability, which gives the monster a second life after getting defeated. Even though it returns with only 1 health, the fully restored armor once again becomes very useful against physical attackers and helps it survive longer. Overall, I think the Silver Shield Sentry is a very powerful defensive close-range archer that combines strong ranged attacks with incredible survivability. What do you think?
