Splinterlands | This ranged monster comes with Tank heal ability

What’s up Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this awesome day with your friends and family. If you are a splinterlands player, the most probably you are playing hard into the ranked arena and grinding with your all to catch up or maintain your goal, be it to reach your favourite league or tier or to secure a place in the leaderboard. This is because Right now, there are only 18 hours left for this ongoing season to end and we all must achieve our goal before that time. But we also have to keep an eye on the battle energy bar while battling so that we don't use all of our energy, rather we should keep maintaining the balance and have enough energy in hand. For me, I am playing in the Champion League as usual and currently sitting with a total of 4900 trophies. This is by far the longest road I came up with trophy count and thanks to the new update where they have replaced the dynamic ELO method to a simple and static approach where each win or loss will get you +20 or -20 trophies. Please also note that there are no win streak extra trophy rewards anymore and each win will be rewarded with +20 trophy raring, irrespective of how many matches they are winning consecutively. As for my season progress, so far I have collected 84 season rewards and for today’s focus mission, I got the Ailments and finished playing for the day after collecting 11 focus chests today. My energy bar is currently recharging at 18 energies and I am thinking of playing tomorrow morning again and will try to push the trophy count further.



Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be showcasing another amazing Rebellion monster with you all and as you have already seen her in the thumbnail, today we will be talking about the SATHA TOLEDO.

SATHA TOLEDO

Satha is one of the few rebel monsters that has gained immense popularity and become a must-have card in one’s collection mainly because of her Healing ability. This monster is an epic type card that needs a total of 46 BCX cards to be upgraded to max level and it belongs to the Earth element. This card costs 5 mana to be used in battles so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches. Its attack type is ranged and at max level, it carries 3 ranged attacks which is decent respecting its mana cost. However, its healing ability is the main feature of this card and it helps you to build healing combos whenever needed. Let us now take a further look into its stats and abilities league wise.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card possesses 1 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 4 health along with the Tank Heal ability that it gets from its initial level. With the Tank Heal ability, it can recover a wounded Monster’s health who’s in first place of the lineup.

SILVER

At level 3, this monster’s stats get increased to 1 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 5 health and it also gets another ability Lookout from level 2. Now, Lookout is a new ability that got launched with the rebellion edition and with the help of this ability, adjacent monsters receive 1 less damage from attacks with sneak, opportunity and Snipe. In Addition to that, all the friendly monsters will receive half damage from ambush attacks if there is at least 1 friendly monster alive with Lookout ability.

GOLD

When you upgrade this monster to level 5, it gets 2 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 6 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Its ranged attack gets increased to 2 from level 4 onwards which will be very helpful for players playing in the silver league. However, it does not get any new abilities at this level.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

When this card finally gets upgraded to its max level 6, it possesses an increased 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 6 health along with those 2 abilities. Though it does not get any new ability even at max level, but its increased ranged attack will surely help you to wound or kill down Monsters with its help on top of its healing power.

BATTLE STAT

Well, it was a medium 23 mana limit match and there were 4 elements available - Water, Earth, Life and Death and also, there were 3 rulesets being applied - V (only 5 monsters can be allowed in this match), Gladiator ( 1 gladiator card can be used with this rule) and Fog of War (Sneak, Snipe or Opportunity abilities will be disabled). Now as it was a comparatively small mana battle and with the Fog Of War rule which eliminates all the backline attacks, I preferred to choose a defensive lineup including a gold tank card following some Ranged and Magic monsters to balance things in the right way.

Battle Link


As for my lineup, I chose the Epic Earth summoner Fernheart because it gives +1 health and Close Range to all friendly monsters. Because of the Close Range buff, my range monsters now can attack from the first position which will be beneficial when you are choosing mostly ranged monsters and don't want to miss the attack of the first one in line. Anyway, I chose the Smith as my front tank card followed by Goblin Psychic, Satha Toledo and Acid Shooter in the end. Here I particularly chose the Acid Shooter in my lineup because of its scattershot ability which will be unaffected by the Fog Of War rule. When the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent was using the earth summoner Obsidian and he also chose Smith at his front position followed by Moxian Rebel, Lurking Puffer and Goblin Psychic at the end position.

Now as the match started, the 2 enemy tank cards got 3 magic attack power from Moxian but I reduced the opponent’s magic attacks (excluding the magic attack of enemy Smith) with the Silence ability from my Psychic. Here all the enemy monsters were targeting my smith’s health directly and I was breaking the enemy smith’s armour every time. But luckily, my Acid Shooter attacked the Puffer and also applied Poison upon it. My 2 healers also were working very well by keeping my Smith alive because it was getting heat with all the enemy magic attacks every round. The enemy puffer got dead by round 5 and again, my shooter attacked another backline monster the enemy psychic and applied poison upon it as well. After the death of the enemy psychic, the Smith and Moxian were the only 2 cards alive in the opponent's lineup. Because the Moxian has camouflage ability, all my monsters targeted the enemy smith and then the enemy psychic at last after killing down the smith and I have to say the real hero of this fight is obviously the Acid Shooter who killed the first 2 monsters alone and gave me an upper-hand in this match.

It was a very good battle, using two cards that applied healing to the main card.

Your opponent's GRIMBARDUN card resisted very well, and all thanks to its armor repair ability, it was a very intense battle indeed, but in the end the victory was yours, congratulations.
