Digital Art | Lukrezza, The Entity of the Mountains of Judgment

This time, I set out to invent a character whom I decided to name (Lukrezza), a powerful dark entity that dwells atop the perilous Mountains of Judgment. She is an imposing being who, from the very first glance, exudes an air of mystery, danger, and absolute power over her surroundings:

En esta ocasión me propuse inventarme un personaje al cual decidí llamar (Lukrezza), una poderosa entidad oscura que habita en la cima de las peligrosas montañas Del Juicio, Es un ser imponente que desde el primer vistazo transmite un aire de misterio, peligro y un poder absoluto sobre su entorno:

When sketching this illustration, I had a very clear vision: I wanted a pose that conveyed a lot of attitude, strength, and confidence, so I drew her with her arms crossed and a steady, piercing gaze directed at the viewer. On her face, I wanted to add a very important mystical detail: a sacred red mark or symbol right in the center of her forehead that highlights her mystical nature, as well as incorporating dark, membrane-like wings emerging from her sides to give her an even more imposing air. For the coloring of (Lukrezza), I decided to use a palette dominated by very intense red tones and dark shadows, laying the foundation for her skin with a medium reddish tone.

Para el boceto de esta ilustración tenía mi idea super clara, quería una pose que proyectara mucha actitud, firmeza y confianza, así que la dibujé con los brazos cruzados y una mirada fija y penetrante hacia el espectador. En su rostro quise añadir un detalle místico muy importante: una marca o símbolo sagrado de color rojo justo en el medio de su frente que resalta su naturaleza mística, además de incorporar unas alas oscuras de aspecto membranoso que nacen a sus costados para darle un aire aún más imponente. Para el coloreado de (Lukrezza), decidí usar una paleta dominada por tonos rojos muy intensos y sombras oscuras, sentando la base de la piel con un tono rojizo intermedio.

I like to use my airbrush for painting the skin to achieve a smoothness that better suits my style, which allows me to create those clean transitions between the areas where the red light hits and the darker shadows on the body. For the eyes, my idea was to make them shine with a supernatural intensity, so I used very vivid, luminous red tones to give them that cold, calculating, and defiant look; for the mouth, I painted a subtle, confident smile using dark tones that perfectly match her dominant personality.

Me gusta usar para el pintado de la piel mi pincel de aerógrafo para lograr una suavidad más enfocada a mi estilo, lo que me permite conseguir esos degradados limpios entre las zonas donde golpea la luz roja y las sombras más oscuras del cuerpo. Para los ojos, mi idea fue que brillaran con una fuerza sobrenatural, así que utilicé tonos rojos muy encendidos e iluminados para darle esa apariencia fría, calculadora y desafiante; para la boca, pinté una sutil sonrisa de confianza con tonos oscuros que combina perfectamente con su personalidad dominante.

I painted the hair using red tones with very pronounced highlights, creating a short, slightly tousled hairstyle with defined strands; I didn’t use many brushes here, but instead focused mainly on working on the highlights to add volume. For (Lukrezza)’s outfit, I opted for a simple, form-fitting ensemble in dark burnt-red tones that maintains the character’s mysterious aesthetic. Finally, for the background, I applied a combination of dark blue tones crisscrossed by bursts and beams of red light that simulate a stormy atmosphere or unleashed energy, achieving the ideal contrast to make the silhouette stand out.

El pintado del pelo lo hice usando tonos rojos con luces altas muy marcadas, formando una cabellera corta, un poco alborotada y con mechones definidos; aquí no usé tantos pinceles, sino que me enfoqué principalmente en trabajar los brillos superiores para darle volumen. Para la vestimenta de (Lukrezza)opté por un traje sencillo y ceñido en tonos rojo quemado oscuro que mantiene la estética misteriosa del personaje. Finalmente, para el fondo, apliqué una combinación de tonos azules oscuros cruzados por ráfagas y haces de luz roja que simulan una atmósfera de tormenta o energía desatada, logrando el contraste ideal para hacer resaltar la silueta.
