Drawing me as a Peaky Blinders.
Hello guys, how are you? I hope very well and that you are having a great week, today I come with a new work for my blog and perhaps many of you will recognize the style just by seeing the first image and it is a version of me as if I were a character from the Peaky Blinders series that surely many of you know, this is a series that has been out for quite some time, but curiously it was until December last year when I dedicated time to it and I must say that I love this series, it has so far 5 seasons but it was paralyzed since 2020 due to the coronavirus and the quarantine; fortunately for me I finished watching it just a few days ago and everything points to the long awaited 6th season to be released this year so I will not have to wait long to see it hehehehehe. I liked the series so much that I couldn't wait to do a related work, so I decided to create myself as a character member of the Peaky Blinders gang and I couldn't wait to share it with you here and I hope you like it a lot:
¿Hola chicos cómo están? Espero que muy muy bien y que estén pasando una excelente semana, el día de hoy vengo con una nueva obra para mi blog y que quizás muchos de ustedes reconocerán el estilo con solo ver la primera imagen y se trata de una versión mía como si fuera un personaje de la Serie Peaky Blinders que seguramente muchos de ustedes conocerán, esta es una serie que ya tiene bastante tiempo de haber salido, pero curiosamente fue hasta diciembre del año pasado cuando le dedique tiempo y debo decir que me encanto esta serie, la misma cuenta hasta ahora con 5 temporadas pero se vio paralizada desde 2020 por cuestiones del coronavirus y la cuarentena; por fortuna para mí la termine de ver hace solo algunos días y todo apunta a que la tan ansiada 6ta temporada se estrenara este año así que no tendré que esperar mucho para verla jejejje. Me gustó tanto la serie que no podía esperar para hacer una obra relacionada, así que decidí crearme a mí mismo como un personaje miembro de la banda de los Peaky Blinders y no podía esperar para compartirlo con ustedes por aquí y espero les guste mucho:
PROCESS / PROCESO
The sketch was an important part of my work because in it I was creating the character that in this case would be myself and for this I created a structure of a thin man as I am with a more or less tall stature and the shape of the hair very much in the style of how it was used at that time in England. For the colors I had a little more freedom and decided to use tones for the skin for example that resembled my skin tone since I am dark, little by little I was shaping more and more the right tones until I got a more or less natural look.
El boceto fue parte importante de mi obra pues en el fui creando al personaje que en este caso sería yo mismo y para ello cree una estructura de un hombre delgado como soy yo con una estatura más o menos alta y la forma del cabello muy al estilo de cómo se utilizaba en esa época en Inglaterra. Para los colores si tuve un poco más de libertad y decidí utilizar tonos para la piel por ejemplo que se asemejaran a mi tonalidad piel ya que soy moreno, poco a poco fui plasmando más y más los tonos adecuados hasta conseguir una apariencia más o menos natural.
After getting the texture of the skin and the right volume the next thing I did was to create the eyes of the character and for this I used medium gray tones for the eyeball and then continued with light brown tones and some brighter browns. Having finished with the eyes I continued with the painting of the hair and for this I used a fairly dark gray tone as a base to later add stronger tones and thus get a shade of black hair like mine, I also performed the same process to build a little beard which I was encouraged to create it a little low style of the length of the sideburns and also with a somewhat bushy mustache.
Luego de conseguir la textura de la piel y el voluminado adecuado lo siguiente que hice fue ir creando los ojos del personaje y para esto utilice tonos grises medios para el globo ocular y luego continúe con tonos marrones claros y algunos marrones más brillantes. Habiendo terminado con los ojos continúe con el pintado del cabello y para esto use un tono de gris bastante oscuro como base para posteriormente ir añadiendo tonos más fuertes y así conseguir una tonalidad de cabello negro como el mío, también realice el mismo proceso para construir un poco la barba la cual me anime a crearla un poco al estilo bajo del largo de las patillas y también con un bigote algo poblado.
For the costume I took a little time and decided to start by painting the whole structure in light gray, and then segmenting and separating the different parts of the costume like the pants, the shirt and the iconic Peaky Blinders cap. First I laid those bases and then I was adding texture with watercolor brushes and other more textured brushes creating some thick lines to create the wrinkles and folds of the suit, finally, I was adding the details of the buttons and some other details on the arms of the shirt, in addition to the suspenders of the pants.
Para la vestimenta me tomé un poco de tiempo y decidí optar por comenzar pintado toda una estructura completa en tonalidad gris clara, para luego ir segmentando y separando las diferentes partes del traje como el pantalón, la camisa y la tan icónica gorra de los Peaky Blinders. Primero senté esas bases y luego fui añadiendo textura con pinceles de acuarela y otros pinceles más texturizados creando algunas líneas gruesas para ir creando las arrugas y pliegues del traje, por último, fui añadiendo los detalles de los botones y algunos otros detalles en los brazos de la camisa, además de los tirantes de los pantalones.
To finish my work I painted what would be the cigarette, which as you know those who have seen Peaky Blinders is never missing in the characters of the series, then I added more and more minimal details like the match or match to light the cigarette, I also created a couple of layers of shadows and glows to give it that illuminated touch as when lighting a cigarette; and finally with some layers in special mode I finished complementing what would be my work.
Ya para ir finalizando mi obra pinte lo que sería el cigarrillo, el cual como sabrán los que han visto Peaky Blinders nunca falta en los personajes de la serie, luego fui añadiendo más y más detalles mínimos como el fosforo o cerillo para encender el cigarrillo, también cree un par de capas de sombras y brillos para darle ese toque iluminado como cuando se enciendo un cigarrillo; ya por ultimo con algunas capas en modo especial termine de complementar lo que sería mi obra.

Esto ha sido todo por el día de hoy, muchísimas gracias llegar hasta aquí y por haber visto el proceso de mi obra, esta fue obra me encanto mucho hacerla y me dio varias ideas para crear algunos personajes a mi imaginación para el futuro sobre esta gran serie, la cual es una serie que les recomiendo mucho que vean a los que todavía no lo han hecho pues no se arrepentirán.
