Emperor Maria Alicia 👑

Very happy Tuesday my dearest people of #Hive, here is your friend Manuel and I want to welcome you a new week to my art blog, this time I want to share a work that I was working on during this past weekend, it turns out that I had the idea to create and illustrate a new character that was a kind of emperor named Maria Alicia, a ruler with a personality and a character extremely cold, which does not tremble the pulse when it comes to enforce their will; I hope you like it very much and without anything else to add I leave you with the process of my drawing:

Muy feliz martes mi queridísima gente de #Hive, por aquí les saluda su amigo Manuel y les quiero dar la bienvenida una nueva semana mas a mi blog de arte, en esta oportunidad les quiero compartir una obra en la que estuve trabajando durante este pasado fin de semana, resulta que tuve la idea de crear e ilustrar un nuevo personaje que fuese una especie de emperadora llamada María Alicia, una gobernante con una personalidad y un carácter sumamente fríos, a la cual no le tiembla el pulso a la hora de hacer cumplir sus voluntad; espero les guste mucho y sin nada mas que añadir los dejo con el proceso de mi dibujo:

I decided to make a portrait style sketch of Maria Alicia sitting on her throne while enjoying a good glass of one of the most expensive wines produced in her country, I drew her with a penetrating look and a smile from ear to ear that reveals a little of the personality that the emperor has; this time for the skin I decided to vary a little and instead of using orange or salmon tones I opted for colors like soft pink with a volume and shading a little more demarcated which then softened with the hyssop brush. For the eyes on this occasion I thought I should look for a different tone in my color palette but that would match and contrast with the skin and that is why I ended up deciding on a pasty green which I worked upwards to give good shine to the iris; for the lips I used a slightly softer red and made a subtle transition between the corners of the mouth, the chin and so on.

Decidí hacer un boceto a estilo retrato de María Alicia sentada en su trono mientras disfruta de una buena copa de unos de los vinos mas caros producidos en su país, la dibuje con una mirada penetrante y una sonrisa de oreja a oreja que deja revelar un poco la personalidad que posee la emperadora; en esta ocasión para la piel decidí variar un poco y en lugar de usar tonos naranjas o salmones pues opte por colores como el rosado suave con un volumen y sombreado un tanto más demarcado el cual luego suavice con el pincel de hisopo. Para los ojos en esta ocasión me pareció que debía buscar en mi paleta de colores un tono diferente pero que hiciera juego y contraste con la piel y es por ello que me termine decidiendo por un verde pastoso el cual fui trabajando de manera ascendente para dar buen brillo al iris; para los labios use un rojo un poco mas suave e hice una transición sutil entre las comisuras de la boca, el mentón y demás.

For the clothes I wanted to create a kind of elegant silk dress as it would be a little more sensual emperor, what I did was to work a little texture of the dress with soft airbrush without blurring too much, then create a new layer and began to create lines and strokes randomly or randomly across the surface of the dress to achieve a little shiny texture, once I got the dress as I wanted I just create a slight loose glitter on the sleeves and bust. The hair I wanted to paint it in a light brown color because I really like that color and I think it looks great for straight hair, I tried to give it a good volume from the inside out with strands a little more together and compact; important part in painting hair is to soften a little to better blend the strokes of strands and then add a few loose strands in areas such as the forehead, ears and on the sides.

Para la ropa quise crear una especie de vestido de seda elegante ya que se trataría de una emperadora un poco más sensual, lo que hice fue trabajar un poco la textura del vestido con aerógrafo suave sin difuminar demasiado, después cree una capa nueva y comencé a crear líneas y trazos de manera random o aleatoria por toda la superficie del vestido para lograr un poco de textura brillante; una ves logre tener el vestido como yo quería solo me dedique a crear unos leves brillos sueltos en las mangas y el busto. El cabello quise pintarlo de un color marrón claro ya que me gusta mucho ese color y me parece que se ve muy genial para los cabellos lisos, traté de darle un buen volumen desde adentro hacia afuera con mechones un poco mas juntos y compactos; parte importante en el pintado de cabello es suavizar un poco para mezclar mejor los trazos de mechones y luego añadir unos cuantos mechones sueltos en zonas como la frente, orejas y en los lados.

The glass I decided to give it a mustard yellow tone first to imply that it is a very thin glass, first I colored the base and then I applied the burn effect to make the glass look transparent so that you could see the liquid inside it; the wine inside the glass I painted creating a mixture of red, crimson and a little white to take the appearance and texture that I particularly like when I paint liquids, I also added some small bubbles inside for a better realism in the liquid. For the background I painted a rocky textured wall and more in front of it I painted the chair where the emperor Maria Alicia would be sitting, I worked the chair with soft brown colors to give it a sturdy wooden look, I gave it a little shape with my watercolor and finger brushes to give it a subtle relief on the wood.

La copa decidí darle primero una tonalidad amarilla mostaza para dar a entender que es una copa sumamente fina, primero coloree la base y luego le aplique el efecto de capa (burn) para logra que la copa se viese con una apariencia transparente y que se pudiese ver el líquido dentro de ella; el vino en el interior de la copa lo pinte creando una mezcla de rojo, carmesí y un poco de blanco para que tomara la apariencia y textura que a mi particularmente me gusta cuando pinto líquidos, también agregue algunas pequeñas burbujas en el interior para un mejor realismo en el líquido. Para el fondo pinte una pared con textura rocosa y más delante de ella pinte la silla donde la emperadora María Alicia estaría sentada, trabaje la silla con colores marrones suaves para dar una apariencia de madera robusta, le di un poco de forma con mis pinceles de acuarela y dedo para que se notara un sutil relieve en la madera.
