Genie of the Lamp, freedom of Christina

Heeyyyy happy Tuesday my dearest #hive people, I hope you are doing great today and welcome to another new digital work; this time I wanted to go more towards the theme of magic or more specifically to the theme of genies of the lamp, of which I am extremely fond thanks to the magical powers they have and which allow them to grant almost any kind of desire, and also for their ability to alter space and time. Today's character is one that I decided to call by the name of (Christina), which we can see is floating in a kind of place of clouds around her, and it turns out that this plane or scenario occurs within the magic lamp in which this girl Genie is captive; but this will not be for long, because as you can see in her eyes she is about to be released from her long imprisonment:

Heeyyy feliz martes mi queridísima gente de #hive, espero que se encuentren super bien el día de hoy y sean bienvenidos a otra nueva obra digital; esta vez quise irme más hacia la temática de la magia o mas concretamente a la temática de genios de la lampara, de las que soy sumamente aficionado gracias a los poderes mágicos que tienen y los cuales les permiten conceder casi cualquier tipo de deseo, y también por su habilidad de alterar el espacio y el tiempo. El personaje del día de hoy es una a la cual decidí llamar por el nombre de (Christina), la cual podemos apreciar se encuentra flotando en una especie de lugar de nubes a su alrededor, y resulta que este plano o escenario ocurre dentro de la lampará mágica en la cual se encuentra cautiva esta chica Genio; pero esto no será por mucho tiempo, pues como podrán apreciar en sus ojos esta apunto de ser liberada de su largo encierro:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I had the idea of creating this character a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't know very well how I would sketch it to have that essence of Genius of the lamp, so I took a couple of days to see references and to try different body structures; I made about 2 or 3 sketches until I finally got this one where (Christina) we can see her sitting with her legs slightly crossed to the front and with her gaze fixed upwards, as if she was about to be released from the lamp. The colors in this one I almost wanted them to be quite unique since it would not be an ordinary character, so I decided to use light purple tones for the skin, for example; I was shaping some strokes with a brush without texture, but with a soft tip, then these strokes I had to mix them slightly to get the skin to look as natural as possible.

Tuve la idea de crear este personaje desde hace par de semanas, pero no sabia muy bien como la bocetaría para que tuviera esa esencia de Genio de la lampara, por ello me tome un par de días para ver referencias y para probar diferentes estructuras corporales; hice unos 2 o 3 bocetos hasta que finalmente logre este donde (Christina) la podemos ver sentada con sus piernas levemente cruzadas hacia el frente y con la mirada fija hacia arriba, como intuyera que esta apunto de ser liberada de la lampara. Los colores en este casi quise que fuesen bastante únicos ya que no se trataría de un personaje común y corriente, por ello me decidí por usar tonos purpuras claros para la piel, por ejemplo; fui plasmando algunos trazos con un pincel sin textura, pero de punta suave, luego estos trazos tuve que mezclarlos levemente para conseguir que la piel se viera de la forma más natural posible.

The painting of the eyes I did it varying even a little more the colors with respect to the base, for example, for the eyeball I did it in a very light violet color so that it was well differentiated from what would be the skin, and the lips I gave them a little more grayish tone; an important part in both the eyes and lips are the small details and these are achieved with small brushes, for example details the inner iris and the pupil with a little Vinotinto, red and pink intermediate. After finishing and giving a little warmth to the face the next thing was to give a little shape to the Genie's clothes or costume, for this I started with a little light airbrush to create a little basic and soft texture; I was a little hesitant to use pure red tones here, and that's why I chose to paint with a Vinotint tone very close to the range of purples and I only blurred lightly.

El pintado de los ojos lo hice variando aun un poco más los colores con respecto al base, por ejemplo, para el globo ocular lo hice de un color violeta muy muy claro para que este se diferenciara bien de lo que seria la piel, y a los labios les di una tonalidad un poco un poco mas grisácea; una parte importante tanto en los ojos como en los labios son los pequeños detalles y estos se logran con pinceles pequeños, por ejemplo detalles el iris interno y la pupila con un poco de Vinotinto, rojo y rosado intermedio. Después de terminar y de darle un poco de calidez al rostro lo siguiente fue ir dándole un poco de forma a la ropa o traje de la Genio, para esto empecé con un poco de aerógrafo leve para ir creando un poco de textura básica y suave; tuve un poco de dudas de usar tonos rojos puros aquí, y fue por ello que opte por pintar con un tono Vinotinto muy cercano a la gama de los morados y solo difumine levemente.

In the next step I focused on giving more shape and texture a little more rigid to the full dress of the genie, I helped me a lot with the watercolor brush to achieve an intermediate texture that did not make the suit look very thick, but as a fabric a little thinner and delicate; as an additional touch to the suit I came up with the idea of adding additional fabric to the arms and feet, and to achieve a good contrast I thought that nothing better than a little strong brown color, to give here if a little thicker appearance to the fabric. With the clothes already finished I continued shaping the hair, here I worked with purple colors a little more grayish and I used a lot the watercolor brush to achieve a little wavy shape in the hair; then with the bristle brushes I created some slightly loose strands of hair, I repeated this part at least 2 times, and at the end I decided to stretch a little some strands with the finger brush to achieve a better union between the skin and the hair.

En el paso siguiente me centre en darle ya mas forma y textura un poco mas rígida al vestido enterizo de la genio, me ayude mucho con el pincel acuarela para lograr una textura intermedia que no hiciera ver el traje muy grueso, si no como una tela un poco mas fina y delicada; como toque adicional al traje se me ocurrió la idea de agregar tela adicional a los brazos y pies, y para lograr un buen contraste se me ocurrió que nada mejor que un poco de color marrón fuerte, para darle aquí si una apariencia un poco mas gruesa a la tela. Ya con la ropa terminada seguí dándole forma al cabello, aquí trabaje con colores morados un poco más grisáceos y use mucho el pincel acuarela para logra una forma un poco ondulada en el pelo; luego con los pinceles de cerdas fui creando algunos mechones de pelo ligeramente sueltos, repetí esta parte al menos 2 veces, y al final decidí estirar un poco algunos mechones con el pincel de dedo para lograr una mejor unión entre la piel y el cabello.

For the last part of my drawing I focused on creating the scene of clouds inside the lamp where our Genie girl is patiently waiting to be released, I wanted this scenario to be a kind of place where there is no notion of night or day; I started working with a little gradient color in the background and on this I was painting what would be the clouds in pink color slightly varied. To give a little perspective of distance between the clouds what I did was to vary the pink tones with a little light violet, then as the clouds looked too lonely what I did was to apply a little Gaussian blur effect and softened them a little; and finally and to give a little more magical vibe to (Christina) what I came up with was to paint some kind of energy sparkles sprouting from the eyes of the Genie, I used a little layer effects to make the brightness look even more bright and intense and highlight the pupil of the eye.

Para la última parte de mi dibujo me centre en crear el escenario de nubes dentro de la lampara donde nuestra chica Genio se encuentra pacientemente esperando para ser liberada, quise que este escenario fuera una especie de lugar donde no existe la noción de la noche o el día; inicie trabajado con un poco de color degradado en el fondo y sobre este fui pintando lo que serian las nubes en color rosado levemente variado. Para dar un poco de perspectiva de lejanía entre las nubes lo que hice fue variar los tonos rosado con un poco de violeta claro, luego como las nubes se veían demasiado solidadas lo que hice fue aplicar un poco de efecto de desenfoque gaussiano y las suavice un poco; ya por ultimo y para darle un vibra un poco más mágica a (Christina) lo que se me ocurrió fue pinte unas especie de destellos de energía brotando de los ojos de la Genio, use un poco los efectos de capa para que el brillo se viera aun mas brillante e intenso y resaltaran bastante la pupila del ojo.
