Heiress of a great Power

Heyy how are you my dear people, happy Thursday for everyone and I hope you are doing great, today I wanted to go more towards the theme of magic and sorcery; that is why I want to introduce you to Edwinna, which is one of the most powerful and dangerous sorceresses that exist, someone with knowledge of the vast majority of spells and enchantments thanks to her excellent memory. In her youth Edwinna was a young orphan that most of her childhood lived alone and marginalized by society, this until one day she met a great sorceress of the time who saw great potential in her, this old woman like her had no family or anyone in this life, she was in the last stretch of her life and did not want to die without first transmitting to someone all her knowledge about magic and sorcery; Edwinna finally learned everything she could learn from the old woman and became at her young age an even more powerful sorceress than her mentor was when she met her:

Heyy como están mi querida gente, feliz jueves para todos y espero que se encuentren super bien, el día de hoy quise irme más hacia la temática de la magia y la hechicería; es por ello que les quiero presentar a Edwinna, la cual es una de las hechiceras mas poderosas y peligrosas que existen, alguien con conocimientos de la gran mayoría de hechizos y encantamientos existentes gracias a su excelente memoria. En su juventud Edwinna fue una joven huérfana que la mayor parte de su infancia vivió sola y marginada por la sociedad, esto hasta que un buen día conoció a una gran hechicera de la época la cual vio un gran potencial en ella, esta anciana al igual que ella no tenia familiares ni a nadie en esta vida, se encontraba en el ultimo tramo de su vida y no quería morir sin antes trasmitirle a alguien todos sus conocimientos sobre la magia y la hechicería; finalmente Edwinna aprendió todo lo que podía aprender de la anciana y se convirtió a su corta edad en una hechicera inclusive mas poderosa de lo que era su mentora cuando la conoció:

Well I got down to work to start sketching the character and I did it having as an idea that Edwinna was a young woman of no more than 25 years old, that is to say someone quite young for everything she could do; I drew her with short hair slightly rounded at the ends and in a pose as if she was looking at her magic wand and contemplating the majestic power she possesses. The colors to give life to this character were selected very carefully, I had several shades a little forgotten in my personal color palette and it seemed a good time to use them and combine them in a good work; in the case of the skin I used this magenta tone intermediate between pink and lilac tones, I tried to give a good volume to the face so that the appearance of the character did not look so old and for this I used brushes such as watercolor and airbrush.

Bueno me puse manos a la obra para empezar a bocetar al personaje y lo hice teniendo como idea de que Edwinna fuera una joven de no mas de 25 años de edad, es decir alguien bastante joven para todo lo que podía hacer; la dibujé con un cabello corto levemente redondeado en las puntas y en una pose como si estuviese mirando su varita mágica y contemplando el majestuoso poder que posee. Los colores para dar vida a este personaje fueron seleccionados muy cuidadosamente, tenía varias tonalidades un poco olvidadas en mi paleta de color personal y me pareció buen momento para darle uso y combinarlos en una buena obra; en el caso de la piel use este tono magenta intermedio entre los tonos rosado y lila, trate de darle un buen volumen al rostro para que la apariencia del personaje no se viera tan mayor y para ello use pinceles como la acuarela y el aerógrafo.

I detailed a little the face with a slight blush on the cheeks with airbrush and scarlet red color to give a little balance to the skin, then I slightly softened the blush on the cheeks with a dispersion brush and in this way the face was a little more delicate and feminine; then I started to work the eyes and the inner iris of the same with a very demarcated scarlet red tone and little by little I was giving minimal details and slight shines with the help of the layer modes. After finishing with everything related to Edwinna's body the next thing I did was to start shaping the clothing of the character, here I focused on building a more or less old looking clothing, I created a kind of blouse with archaic details on the sleeves and neck and for this I did use flatter brushes and a little more intense shades; I worked very well the texture of the blouse to print the greatest details of realism such as folds, wrinkles, etc..

Detalle un poco el rostro con un leve rubor en las mejillas con aerógrafo y color rojo escarlata para dar un poco de equilibrio a la piel, luego suavice levemente el rubor de las mejillas con un pincel de dispersión y de esta forma el rostro quedo un poco mas delicado y femenino; luego empecé a trabajar los ojos y el iris interno de los mismos con un tono rojo escarlata muy demarcado y poco a poco le fui dando detalles mínimos y brillos leves con ayuda de los modos de capa. Luego de terminar con todo lo relacionado con el cuerpo de Edwinna lo siguiente que hice fue empezar a darle forma a la vestimenta del personaje, aquí me centre en construir una ropa con apariencia mas o menos antigua, cree una especie de blusa con detalles arcaicos en las mangas y cuello y para esto si hice uso de pinceles mas planos y tonalidades un poco más intensas; trabaje muy bien la textura de la blusa para imprimirle los mayores detalles de realismo como pliegues, arrugas, etc.

I painted the magic wand of the sorceress using a variety of brown tones and sectioned the body of the wand with several divisions to give it a little more detail, here I used watercolor brushes, flat and rough to texturize a little and give the wood a more distinctive touch; Once I finished with the wand I took the brown tones as a reference and began to give shape to the rounded hair, what I did was to make a little more curved and rounded inward strokes and little by little I was coupling colors like the same scarlet red of the eyes and a little orange. Finally and to finish my work I focused on creating a kind of stormy night with lots of clouds covering the sky, and also a bit of dense fog that covered much of the front of the canvas; as an additional touch and to give an even more magical sense to the character I created a trail of light or blue magical energy flowing from the wand, as if Edwinna was preparing to cast an incantation.

El pintado de la varita mágica de la hechicera lo hice usando variedad de tonos marrones y seccionado en cuerpo de la varita con varias divisiones para darle un poco más de detalle, aquí me ayude mucho de los pinceles de acuarela, plano y rugoso para texturizar un poco y darle a la madera un toque algo más distintivo; una vez termine con la varita tome como referencia los tonos marrones y comencé a darle forma al cabello redondeado, lo que hice fue realizar trazos un poco mas curvos y redondeados hacia adentro y poco a poco fui acoplando colores como el mismo rojo escarlata de los ojos y un poco de naranja. Ya por ultimo y para culminar bien mi obra me centren en crear una especie de noche tormentosa con muchísimas nubes cubriendo todo el cielo, y también un poco de densa neblina que tapara gran parte del frente del lienzo; como toque adicional y para darle un sentido aún más mágico al personaje lo cree una estela de luz o energía mágica azulada brotando desde la varita, como si Edwinna se preparara para lanzar un encantamiento.
