Tender Gaze, Cutting Heart 🔪
Good afternoon my people, happy holidays and of course happy beginning of the most joyful month of the year for many people as it is the month of December hehehehehe, my name is Manuel and as always I would like to welcome you once again to my blog and of course to a new artistic work; this time I focused on drawing something more related to the theme of warriors and that's how I gave life to (Marghelys), a pretty woman with blonde hair and charming smile, which at first glance for many may seem to be extremely sweet and tender, but what few know is that behind that tender look hides a fierce warrior extremely skilled and skilled in close combat with knives, a person with whom no one should look for trouble:
Buenas tardes mi gente, feliz vienes y por supuesto feliz inicio del mes mas alegre del año para mucha gente como lo es el mes de Diciembre jejejeje, mi nombre es Manuel y como siempre me gustaría darles la bienvenida una vez mas a mi blog y por supuesto a una nueva obra artística; en esta oportunidad me enfoque en dibujar algo mas relacionado con la temática de los guerreros y fue así como di vida a (Marghelys), una linda mujer de cabello rubio y sonrisa encantadora, que a simple vista para muchos puede parece ser sumamente dulce y tierna, pero lo que pocos saben es que detrás de esa tierna mirada se esconde una feroz guerrera sumamente diestra y habilidosa en el combate a corta distancia con cuchillos, una persona con la que nadie debería buscarse problemas:
In the first step I got to work to create a skeleton that would serve as a base for my character, I drew (Marghelys) as a woman in her early 20's, with a thin but strong body, with a long and straight hair, and of course with 2 sharp knives in her hands; for the underpainting I first used an intermediate Salmon color and I was scaling up just a bit for the build up of the skin texturing, I usually start with airbrushing and then finish with a bit stiffer brushes. I set a lot of shadows on the skin since the character is wearing a suit with thick shoulder pads and gloves on his hands, for the lower part of the neck I darkened a little, plus I added soft blush with airbrush on the cheekbones and nose; then for the painting of the eyes I painted the iris with a pasty green color, with the help of a small brush I was giving shape from inside the iris and with the shine effect I added small shines.
En el primer paso me puse manos a la obra para crear un esqueleto que sirviese como base para mi personaje, dibuje a (Marghelys) como una mujer de unos 20 y tantos años de edad, con contextura corporal un poco delgada aunque bastante fuerte, con una cabellera larga y lisa, y por supuesto con 2 filosos cuchillos en sus manos; para el pintado base primero utilice un color Salmon intermedio y fui escalando solo un poco para la construcción del texturizado de la piel, normalmente empiezo con aerógrafo y luego termino con pinceles un poco más rígidos. Establecí muchas sombras en la piel puesto que el personaje lleva un traje con hombreras gruesas y guantes en sus manos, para la parte baja del cuello oscurecí un poco, además de que añadí rubor suave con aerógrafo en los pómulos y la nariz; luego para el pintado de los ojos me anime a pintar el iris de color verde pastoso, con ayuda de un pincel pequeño fui dándole forma desde adentro al iris y con el efecto shine agregue pequeños brillos.
In the painting of the clothes I proposed to create a warrior outfit not so big and bulky, but something more according to a female character, that's why I sectioned everything in several layers, in one layer I painted the torso with soft brown colors exposing the arms and a bit the neck area; for this part of the torso I created with yellow and white tones some golden borders to give the costume a touch of elegance to the character. For the second part of the suit I created a kind of protectors for the shoulders and legs with a more rigid texture, for this I used my watercolor brush and I went towards the reddish tones especially for the protectors of the forearms, I repeated the process a couple of times until the protective parts of the armor looked like I wanted at the beginning; after the armor I finished a little bit with the hair for which I only used my open bristle brush and made more wavy and random strokes.
En el pintado de la ropa me propuse crear una vestimenta de guerrera no tan grande y aparatosa, sino algo mas acorde a un personaje femenino, es por ello que seccione todo en varias capas, en una capa pinte la parte del torso con colores Marrones suaves dejando al descubierto los brazos y un poco la zona del cuello; para esta parte del torso me anime crear con tonos amarillos y blancos unos bordecillos dorados para imprimirle al traje un toque de elegancia al personaje. Para la segunda parte del traje cree una especie de protectores para los hombros y las piernas con una textura un poco más rígida, para esto me ayuda un poco de mi pincel de acuarela y me fui hacia los tonos mas rojizos sobre todo para los protectores de los antebrazos, repetí el proceso un par de veces hasta que las partes protectoras de la armadura se viesen como yo quería en un inicio; ya después de la armadura termine un poco con el pelo para el cual solo use únicamente mi pincel de cerdas abiertas y realice trazos más ondulados y aleatorios.
In the 3rd step of the painting process I made what would be the coloring of the knives in the hands of (Marghelys), to achieve a good appearance of metal on the knives I had to work a long time with the gray tones, first I created a base of gray and blue to create the corresponding shadows in reference to the ambient light, then with a flat brush I was creating certain brightness with a light blue quite close to pure white to achieve that reflective effect that normally have the metals; Having finished with the blade of the knives I focused a little on the handle and for this I used yellow, orange and white tones to create a handle like pure gold. Finally and to give conclusion to my drawing what I did was to draw a forest scenery as if (Marghelys) was walking through a dangerous path and therefore wields both knives in his hands, I created a lot of tree trunks in varying shades to give a little perspective of depth in the forest; finally, I just dedicated myself to populate a little the tops of the trees and add some extra brightness to the character and knives.
En el 3er paso del proceso de pintado realice lo que seria el coloreado de los cuchillos en las manos de (Marghelys), para lograr una buena apariencia de metal en los cuchillos tuve que trabajar un buen rato con los tonos grises, primero plasme una base de grises y azules para crear las sombras correspondientes en referencia a la luz del ambiente, luego con un pincel plano fui creando ciertos brillos con un azul claro bastante aproximado al blanco puro para ir logrando ese efecto reflectante que normalmente tienes los metales; habiendo terminado con la hoja de los cuchillos me enfoque un poco en la cacha y para esto use tonos amarillos, naranjas y blancos para crear una cacha como de oro puro. Por ultimo y para darle conclusión a mi dibujo lo que hice fue dibujar un escenario de bosque como si (Marghelys) estuviese transitando por un sendero peligroso y por ello empuña ambos cuchillos en sus manos, cree un montón de troncos de árboles en variación de tonalidades para dar un poco de perspectiva de profundidad en el bosque; por último, solo me dedique a poblar un poco las copas de los arboles y a agregar ciertos brillos extras al personaje y a los cuchillos.
