PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography Round 171: Vargas Avenue [ENG/ESP]

Vargas Avenue
This morning I was on Vargas Avenue in Barquisimeto, named after José María Vargas, a distinguished Venezuelan physician and researcher who served as president of the Central University of Venezuela, as well as president of the republic—the first president not to come from a military background.
This avenue, which runs through the city from south to north and vice versa, traditionally marks or indicates the boundary between the eastern and central parts of the city. Furthermore, most of the buildings located on the lots adjacent to the avenue date back to the 1960s and 1970s, as can be seen in the photos I’m sharing.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Avenida Vargas
Esta mañana estuve por la Avenida Vargas de Barquisimeto, bautizada así por José María Vargas, un ilustre médico e investigador venezolano que fuese rector de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, además de presidente de la república, el primero no perteneciente al mundo militar.
Esta avenida que recorre la ciudad de sur a norte y viceversa, tradicionalmente marca o indica los límites entre el este y el centro de la ciudad. Por otra parte, la mayoría de las edificaciones que se encuentran en las parcelas adyacentes al eje vial, se remontan a las décadas de los años 60 y 70 del siglo pasado, como puede apreciarse en las fotos que comparto.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
