The Sun is the closest star to Earth and the center of the Solar System. But beyond these proven facts, it is the primary source of energy for life on our planet and a fundamental element for our well-being.

Since the dawn of humanity, the Sun has inspired and intrigued poets, philosophers, artists, scientists and everyone who has been touched in some way by its invisible warmth.

Sometimes we take for granted that the Sun has always been there and always will be there for us, yet we forget that this is a gift that Nature gives us every day of our lives.

These photos from my personal archive were taken a few years ago during a trip to a sunflower plantation on the side of the José Antonio Páez Highway, a short distance from the city of Araure.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El Sol es la estrella más cercana a la Tierra y el centro del Sistema Solar. Pero más allá de estos hechos comprobados, es la fuente primaria de energía para la vida en nuestro planeta y un elemento fundamental para nuestro bienestar.

Desde los inicios de la humanidad, el Sol ha inspirado e intrigado por igual a poetas, filósofos, artistas, científicos y a todos las personas que de alguna manera se han visto tocadas por su calor invisible.

En ocasiones damos por sentado que el Sol siempre ha estado allí y siempre lo estará para nosotros, sin embargo, olvidamos que este es un regalo que la Naturaleza nos obsequia cada día de nuestras vidas.

Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé unos años atrás durante un recorrido que realizáramos a un sembradío de girasoles a un costado de la Autopista José Antonio Páez a corta distancia de la ciudad de Araure.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
