Earlier this year, I traveled to the city of Caracas to attend to some personal matters, among them, to attend the graduation ceremony of my eldest son who had completed his university studies.

While I was there, I had the opportunity to visit El Hatillo, a picturesque town located a short distance from the city, which is characterized by the well-preserved colonial facades of its houses, which have been used to install restaurants, ice cream parlors and shops of various kinds.

I walked through most of its narrow and steep streets, remembering when I did it many years ago in my student days, and taking some pictures of what I found on my way.

A principios de este año, viajé a la ciudad de Caracas para atender algunos asuntos personales, entre ellos, asistir al Acto de Grado del mayor de mis hijos que había culminado sus estudios universitarios.

Durante el tiempo que estuve allá, tuve la oportunidad de visitar El Hatillo, un pintoresco pueblo ubicado a muy corta distancia de la ciudad, el cual se caracteriza por las bien conservadas fachadas coloniales de sus viviendas, que han sido aprovechadas para instalar restaurantes, heladerías y locales comerciales de diversa índole.

Recorrí a pié gran parte de sus angostas y empinadas calles, recordando cuando lo hacía muchos años atrás en mis tiempos de estudiante, y aprovechando para tomar algunas fotos de lo que encontraba a mi paso.
