I WON!!!!!!!!!!!

The most exciting thing about this gala was that we sang with mariachis (live musicians). From the 1st moment they said it, my heart jumped with so much happiness, because besides it was going to be a whole new, and great experience for me, when I was little I used to watch a soap opera called “La HIja del Mariachi”, which was about a romance between two mariachis. There they sing many Mexican songs, (included the song I sang yesterday) usually attached to the soap opera’s plot, and I wanted to be there, to sing with them, and now I had the opportunity of singing one of the show’s songs, with a real group of mariachis. How cool is that?

At the beginning I had no idea what to sing, in fact, I had totally forgotten the existence of “La hija del Mariachi” but then, after mentioning many Rocio Durcal’s songs, it hit me. “Por tu maldIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIto amoor…” I don’t know why, but that’s the one my brain pulled out, and I was enchanted with it! My mom showed others from the show, and I was like “NO! that one” lol.

When I said I was going to sing that song, and then heard my partners proposals, I felt a little insecure because mine was practically easy. I was even told to change it, but it was too late, I mean, the mariachis were already preparing it. Anyway, the insecurity was very little, I was very happy with my song, because I could manage it, and I knew I could explode it with my interpretation. Besides, in the last gala the judges told me to relax a little, so that’s what I did, and look…

We only rehearsed 3 times with the mariachis, and my mom and I had the great idea of including the violin in my presentation!

I was the last one to sing. I was very nervous! But I did a good job, just like all of my partners. This one was a very hard Gala, really.

I’m very thankful with everyone who helped, and supported me! My uncle Jesus Vera, Jhoanny Romero, Juliet Fuenmayor. They helped me with my look, and besides that, my family and mostly parent’s support was crucial for me, really. I’m really happy, and I still can’t believe I won!

I know I’m probably forgetting to say something, but… I'm happyy!!!
