Streak broken - Easy evening run

I just finished a 8.537km running that lasted about 0hh:44mm:11ss !

On Friday, I was looking for any excuse for not running. When it finally stopped raining and I ran out of excuses, it was already dark outside, and I didn't run! First day without an activity in more than 2 weeks. We did walk a lot with the dogs though, so I guess it was a decent active recovery day. But that meant Saturday run could not be avoided. And I don't know if it's the extra rest day, but I felt a little bit more bounce in my step. I forced myself to not go all out as usual though, and that explains the overall average pace less than impressive, possibly my slowest in a while. The strange thing is that my heart rate was still quite high, the overall average not too far from my approximate theoretical max (200 - age). It's not unusual for me, but I still don't understand what that means, or even if that means anything.

Anyways, the run felt easier of course, and I had more time to enjoy the wildlife with again plenty of deer. It was a bit hot though, still over 80F or 27C when I started after 8pm. Nothing special about the route, just local small streets, where there's very little traffic. It was loud though! For once it wasn't night time yet, but many people started the fireworks early for the July 4th week end. My dogs were happier than usual when I got home.

The plan is a bike ride on Sunday and another run on Monday to finish the long week end. Till then, keep Exhausting!
