Thai Beef Salad .
(Edited)
Ingredients:
- Beef flank steak (500 grams)
- Salad mix ( 1 large package)
- Cucumber(1)
- Mint ( 1 sprig)
- Cacahuete (100grams)
- Thai rice (150grams)
- Sugar (2 teaspoons)
- Green Tabasco (15 to 20 drops)
- Garlic (2 cloves)
- Ponzu sauce (3 tablespoons) can be replaced by a mixture of soy sauce + lemon
- Chives (about ten sprigs)
- Limes (2)
- Olive oil (6 tablespoons)
- NuocNam sauce (3 tablespoons)
- Green apple (1/2)
Preparation :
Crush the 2 cloves of garlic, add 3 tablespoons of Ponzu soy sauce, 6 tablespoons of olive oil and mix then add the beef, salt and pepper to taste.
Mix again the meat well in this marinade then cover with aluminium foil and keep in a cool place for half an hour.
Meanwhile, mix the Thai rice and peanuts and roast them in a hot pan without oil until the rice is golden.
- Squeeze a lime into a bowl, add 2 teaspoons of sugar and add 3/4 of the peanut/roasted rice mixture that you have crushed in a pestle.
- Collect your meat and sear it quickly in a very hot pan so that it is well cooked on the outside but still rare on the inside. Keep the cooking juice and mix it with the lemon/peanut/rice sauce.
Cut your meat into thin strips
Dice the cucumber and half a green apple, add the mint, chives and cherry tomatoes cut in half, place this mixture on a bed of mixed salad and place the beef strips on top.
Now add the rest of the peanut/roasted rice mixture and drizzle with the lime sauce. You can also decorate with lime wedges and toasted sesame seeds.
- Ok now all that's left to do is to enjoy it!
