[ENG]Some years ago I had a wonderful pedagogical experience at the Alonso Andrea de Ledesma National Educational Institution in Guarenas, Plaza Municipality, Miranda State, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Upon arrival, as Director manager, school year (2013-2014) I observed a coffee bush, planted near the canteen, by the sides of the parking lot; When I saw it, it caught my attention because, in addition to having not seen one for a long time, it was unique in that place. Unfortunately it was quite deteriorated, the land where it was planted was very arid; This is understandable due to the prevailing heat in that geographical area of the country, but it was not only the dryness of the land, but the mistreatment that some students had given it a few days before; Out of malice, they had broken some branches, and they took the few fruits that it had to throw it on the other companions. We turned this "vandalism" act against the coffee bush into a pedagogical fact to motivate the love for nature.

The extracurricular pedagogical objective that we set ourselves is entitled as follows:"Promote the planting, care, harvesting and processing of coffee seeds to contribute to student learning and encourage love for agriculture and respect for nature and farmers." The good thing about all this was that some fellow professors decided to incorporate the project into their planning and programmed topics related to coffee. The bush little by little recovered from the damage they caused it, we removed the dry soil from the root, we fertilized it, watered and cared for it until we observed that it had recovered its foliage, every day it looked more beautiful and flourished, then the We harvested the first fruits, washed them, put them to dry in the patio and later I roasted them myself in an old cauldron that was in the canteen, we ground it and prepared our first cup of coffee, which we tasted among classmates and students who saw their draft. The objective was met and the grateful bush continued to bear fruit, I continued to care for it until retirement came and I left the Institution.
