From the Creed of Nicea - Constantinople, better known as the Long Creed, we extract the following:

"I believe in the Holy Spirit,
Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
that with the Father and the Son
receives the same adoration and glory,
and who spoke by the prophets.

What would the Universal Church be without the living presence of the Holy Spirit? When answering this question we understand the phrase: Lord and giver of life. The Holy Spirit is the force that nourishes and moves the faith and hope of Christians, it is the light that illuminates the path that we must follow to reach the kingdom of God, is truth, justice, love, freedom and peace. The Paraclete gives us life in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. For this and many more reasons, we insistently ask you to give us your gifts: wisdom, intelligence, advice, strength, science, piety and fear of God.

In the face of so many vicissitudes, I will continue with this beautiful prayer: "Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love." The fire that warms but does not burn, the bonfire that radiates love pure and true to be reborn to a new life.

On this day of glory, let us celebrate with joy the coming of the Holy Spirit, and let us ask him with faith, to fill us with his presence to live fully the joy of being disciples of Jesus of Nazareth, for the honor and glory of God.

—Paz a vosotros.
—Paz a vosotros.

Gloria a tí Señor Jesús

[ENG] Reading of the holy Gospel according to Saint John 20, 19-23.

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples were in a house, with the doors closed, for fear of the Jews. At this Jesus entered, stood in the middle and said to them:
—Peace to you. And saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. And the disciples were filled with joy to see the Lord. Jesus repeated:
—Peace to you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. And having said this, he exhaled his breath on them and said to them:
—Receive the Holy Spirit; Whose sins you forgive, they have forgiven; whoever you retain, they are retained.

Lord's word

Glory to you Lord Jesus
