En todas las culturas la familia es muy importante, es por eso que, desde tiempos inmemoriales, se le da el valor que tiene dentro de la sociedad. La figura del padre, la madre y los hijos, como núcleo familiar, trasciende cualquier ideología o tendencia que se quiera imponer en torno a lo sagrado de esta maravillosa Institución. Solo de padre y madre nacen los hijos, de hombre y mujer, de macho y hembra. La familia crece con la participación activa del sexo femenino y masculino, ambos sexos deben fusionarse, preferiblemente en amor, para lograr la procreación natural.

In all cultures, the family is very important, that is why, since time immemorial, it has been given the value it has within society. The figure of the father, the mother and the children, as a family nucleus, transcends any ideology or tendency that one wants to impose around the sacredness of this wonderful Institution. Only from father and mother are children born, of man and woman, of male and female. The family grows with the active participation of the female and male sex, both sexes must merge, preferably in love, to achieve natural procreation.

The feast of the Holy Family within the womb of the Catholic Church comes formally from the seventeenth century, although, and in honor of the truth, from the beginning the family of Nazareth (Jesus, Mary and Joseph) has been valued. But doing a very brief historical review of this celebration we find the following:
Holy Family Day was formally instituted as a religious holiday in 1921 under the papacy of Pope Benedict XV. Originally, this day was celebrated on the Sunday after Epiphany (January 6), but in 1969, Holy Family Day was moved within the Christmas season to the Sunday after Christmas.
For that reason; Today, Sunday, December 26, 2021, we celebrate with joy the Day of the Holy Family.

Hoy, cuando los principios y valores familiares están siendo atacados, debemos proteger a nuestras familias con el escudo de la verdad, la justicia y el amor. Las virtudes cardinales: prudencia y fortaleza deben prevalecer en el seno de nuestros hogares, la unidad e integridad familiar deben blindarse con la oración. En el evangelio de hoy, san Lucas (2,41-52) nos deja ver la influencia familiar en Jesús de Nazaret. El amor de María y de José hacia su amado hijo y viceversa es expuesto sutilmente en este evangelio; la angustia de los padres al perder dentro de la multitud a su pequeño hijo, nos hace recordar los momentos difíciles que en algún momento hemos pasado. En toda familia existen momentos de alegría y de pena, de salud y de enfermedad, de tristeza y felicidad, de fracaso y de éxito... lo importante es estar preparado para enfrentar juntos las vicisitudes de la vida.

Today, when family principles and values are under attack, we must protect our families with the shield of truth, justice, and love. The cardinal virtues: prudence and fortitude must prevail within our homes, family unity and integrity must be shielded by prayer. In today's Gospel, St. Luke (2:41-52) lets us see the family influence on Jesus of Nazareth. The love of Mary and Joseph for their beloved son and vice versa is subtly exposed in this Gospel; the anguish of the parents when losing their little son into the crowd, makes us remember the difficult moments that at some point we have gone through. In every family there are moments of joy and sorrow, of health and illness, of sadness and happiness, of failure and success... the important thing is to be prepared to face the vicissitudes of life together.

Lectura del santo evangelio según san Lucas (2,41-52)
Los padres de Jesús solían ir cada año a Jerusalén por la fiesta de la Pascua.
Cuando cumplió doce años, subieron a la fiesta según la costumbre y, cuando terminó, se volvieron; pero el niño Jesús se quedó en Jerusalén, sin que lo supieran sus padres.
Estos, creyendo que estaba en la caravana, anduvieron el camino de un día y se pusieron a buscarlo entre los parientes y conocidos; al no encontrarlo, se volvieron a Jerusalén buscándolo.
Y sucedió que, a los tres días, lo encontraron en el templo, sentado en medio de los maestros, escuchándolos y haciéndoles preguntas. Todos los que le oían quedaban asombrados de su talento y de las respuestas que daba.
Al verlo, se quedaron atónitos, y le dijo su madre:
«Hijo, ¿por qué nos has tratado así? Tu padre y yo te buscábamos angustiados».
Él les contestó:
«¿Por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que yo debía estar en las cosas de mi Padre?».
Pero ellos no comprendieron lo que les dijo.
Él bajó con ellos y fue a Nazaret y estaba sujeto a ellos.
Su madre conservaba todo esto en su corazón.
Y Jesús iba creciendo en sabiduría, en estatura y en gracia ante Dios y ante los hombres.

A reading from the holy gospel according to Luke (2,41-52)
Jesus' parents used to go to Jerusalem every year for the Passover feast.
When he was twelve years old, they went up to the party according to custom, and when it was over, they turned; But the child Jesus stayed in Jerusalem, unknown to his parents.
These, believing that he was in the caravan, walked the road for a day and began to look for him among relatives and acquaintances; not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem looking for him.
And it happened that, three days later, they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. All who heard him were amazed at his talent and the answers he gave.
When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said:
"Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I were looking for you in anguish ».
He replied:
Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I should be in the things of my Father? ».
But they did not understand what he told them.
He came down with them and went to Nazareth and was subject to them.
Her mother kept all these in her heart.
And Jesus was growing in wisdom, in stature and in grace before God and before men.
