[ESP] Diecisiete años tenemos, mi esposa, mis hijos y yo viviendo en la Urbanización Nueva Casarapa. / [ENG] My wife, my children and I have been living in Nueva Casarapa for seventeen years.

     Diecisiete años tenemos, mi esposa, mis hijos y yo viviendo en la Urbanización Nueva Casarapa, Guarenas, Municipio Plaza, Estado Miranda, República Bolivariana de Venezuela.

      Cuando llegamos ya la Urbanización tenía algunos años de fundada, era bonita, segura y confortable, lo sigue siendo, pero no tanto como en sus inicios, cuando ganó el premio al mejor urbanismo de Venezuela y otros premios y menciones nacionales e internacionales, siendo finalista, en el año 1999, al premio mundial de Hábitat.

      La expropiación de reciente data a la que fue objeto, por parte del Ejecutivo Nacional, dió a la Alcaldía del Municipio Plaza, potestad sobre los espacios comunes, los cuales se han venido deteriorando, a pasos de vencedores, (consigna gubernamental) sin que el ejecutivo municipal tome cartas en el asunto.

      Hoy, la mayoría de los conjuntos están cerrados con cercas perimetrales y los espacios comunes, cómo el Parque José María Cartaya, dónde está la Laguna, están siendo cuidados, limpiados y mantenidos por un grupo de vecinos con amor y sentido de pertenencia con la Urbanización, a todos ellos mi reconocimiento por su excelente labor, mi respeto y agradecimiento.

     My wife, my children and I have been living for seventeen years in Nueva Casarapa Urbanization, Guarenas, Plaza Municipality, Miranda State, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

     When we arrived the Urbanization had already been founded some years ago, it was beautiful, safe and comfortable, it still is, but not as much as in its beginnings, when it won the prize for the best urbanism of Venezuela and other national and international prizes and mentions, being a finalist, in 1999, for the World Habitat Award.

     The recent expropriation to which it was subjected by the National Executive, gave the Mayor's Office of the Plaza Municipality, power over the common spaces, which have been deteriorating, at the pace of winners, (governmental slogan) without the municipal executive taking action on the matter.

     Today, most of the complexes are closed with perimeter fences and the common spaces, such as the Jose Maria Cartaya Park, where the Lagoon is located, are being cared for, cleaned and maintained by a group of neighbors with love and sense of belonging to the Urbanization, to all of them my recognition for their excellent work, my respect and gratitude.
