[ESP] "Les aseguro que si su justicia no es mayor que la de los escribas y fariseos, ciertamente no entrarán ustedes en el Reino de los cielos."
[ENG] "Truly I tell you, if your righteousness is not greater than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven."
Partimos del hecho de que la Ley de Dios, dada a conocer a la humanidad por su Hijo, Jesús de Nazaret, es la Ley del Amor; por esa razón, y fundamentados en esa premisa, se imparte la Justicia Divina; justicia que no es cualquier justicia sino una Superior, que va mas allá de consideraciones retóricas, una justicia que conlleva temor de Dios, compasión, piedad, misericordia y perdón.
Al ser una Justicia mucho mas estricta que la terrenal es también muy exigente, por lo que invita al respeto, a la cordialidad, a la tolerancia entre los hermanos porque de lo contrario el tribunal es implacable a la hora de dictar la sentencia:
Han oído ustedes que se dijo a los antiguos: No matarás y el que mate será llevado ante el tribunal. Pero yo les digo: Todo el que se enoje con su hermano, será llevado también ante el tribunal; el que insulte a su hermano, será llevado ante el tribunal supremo, y el que lo desprecie, será llevado al fuego del lugar de castigo...
La esencia del evangelio de hoy es esta: Por lo tanto, si cuando vas a poner tu ofrenda sobre el altar, te acuerdas allí mismo de que tu hermano tiene alguna queja contra ti, deja tu ofrenda junto al altar y ve primero a reconciliarte con tu hermano, y vuelve luego a presentar tu ofrenda. Primero está la reconciliación, el perdón y la supremacía del amor.
We start from the fact that the Law of God, made known to humanity by his Son, Jesus of Nazareth, is the Law of Love; for that reason, and based on that premise, Divine Justice is imparted; justice that is not just any justice but a superior one, that goes beyond rhetorical considerations, a justice that entails fear of God, compassion, pity, mercy and forgiveness.
Being a much stricter Justice than the earthly one, it is also very demanding, which is why it invites respect, cordiality, tolerance between the brothers because otherwise the court is implacable when it comes to passing the sentence:
You have heard that it was said to the ancients: You shall not kill and whoever kills will be brought before the court. But I say to you: Everyone who is angry with his brother will also be brought before the court; whoever insults his brother will be brought before the high court, and whoever despises him will be brought to the fire of the place of punishment...
The essence of today's gospel is this: Therefore, if when you are going to place your offering on the altar, you remember right there that your brother has a complaint against you, leave your offering next to the altar and go first. reconcile with your brother, and then return to present your offering. First is reconciliation, forgiveness and the supremacy of love.
