El evangelio de hoy nos invita a pedir a Dios que aumente las vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas, que se incremente el número de misioneros que lleven la Buena Nueva a todos los rincones de la tierra porque, según nuestro Señor Jesucristo: “La cosecha es mucha y los trabajadores pocos." Por esa razón, Él, Jesús de Nazaret, pide a sus discípulos y hoy nos lo pide a nosotros: "Rueguen, por lo tanto, al dueño de la mies que envíe trabajadores a sus campos." El Mesías está conciente de los peligros que acechan a los que Él envía a predicar: "Pónganse en camino; yo los envío como corderos en medio de lobos." pero les da muchas esperanzas, lo bueno de todo esto es que Jesús, que es el camino, la verdad y la vida manda a sus discípulos a curar a los enfermos decir a la gente, de ayer y de hoy, que: ‘"Ya se acerca el Reino de Dios"

Today's Gospel invites us to ask God to increase priestly and religious vocations, to increase the number of missionaries who bring the Good News to all corners of the earth because, according to our Lord Jesus Christ: "The harvest is many and the workers few." For that reason, He, Jesus of Nazareth, asks His disciples and today He asks us: "Pray, therefore, to the owner of the farm to send workers to his fields." The Messiah is aware of the dangers that lurk those He sends to preach: "Set your way; I send them like lambs in the midst of wolves." but it gives them many hopes, the good thing about all this is that Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life commands his disciples to heal the sick to tell the people, yesterday and today, that: '"The Kingdom of God is already approaching"

Lectura del santo evangelio según san Lucas (10,1-9):

En aquel tiempo, Jesús designó a otros setenta y dos discípulos y los mandó por delante, de dos en dos, a todos los pueblos y lugares a donde pensaba ir, y les dijo: “La cosecha es mucha y los trabajadores pocos. Rueguen, por lo tanto, al dueño de la mies que envíe trabajadores a sus campos. Pónganse en camino; yo los envío como corderos en medio de lobos. No lleven ni dinero ni morral ni sandalias y no se detengan a saludar a nadie por el camino. Cuando entren en una casa digan: ‘Que la paz reine en esta casa’. Y si allí hay gente amante de la paz, el deseo de paz de ustedes se cumplirá; si no, no se cumplirá. Quédense en esa casa. Coman y beban de lo que tengan, porque el trabajador tiene derecho a su salario. No anden de casa en casa. En cualquier ciudad donde entren y los reciban, coman lo que les den. Curen a los enfermos que haya y díganles: .

Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke (10:1-9):

At that time, Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead, two by two, to all the towns and places where he intended to go, and said to them, "The harvest is many and the workers are few. Beg, therefore, the owner of the farm to send workers to their fields. Get on your way; I send them like lambs in the midst of wolves. Do not bring money or backpacks or sandals and do not stop to greet anyone along the way. When you enter a house, say, 'May peace reign in this house.' And if there are peace-loving people there, your desire for peace will be fulfilled; if not, it will not be fulfilled. Stay in that house. Eat and drink from what you have, because the worker is entitled to his salary. Don't go from house to house. In any city where you enter and receive them, eat what you are given. Heal the sick and tell them, 'The Kingdom of God is coming to you."
