Diesel, the main liquid fuel used in transportation, is approaching stockpile crisis levels. The inventories are at levels not seen since the 2008 financial crisis. The refinery capacity is low due to multiple closures in the past decade.

Diesel price increases will cause transportation costs to increase leading to overall price increases. The inflation rate is expected to increase as the GDP is expected to further decrease. Stagflation is almost here (if it is not already)
