People talk about being right wing or left wing. People accuse others and even insult them but stating they are right wingers or left wingers. Many times, the meaning of the terms is lost in the name calling and there is no space for clarification of the points of view. This is the reason for the post

According to how I understand it, to be in the political left and from the economic perspective, it means to favor policies that redistribute income from the rich to the poor. Usually this redistribution is achieved through taxation, but t it can also be achieved by government implementing programs that favor exclusively the poorer people

According to my opinion, to be in the political right is to favor policies that are less redistributive, to favor merit and hard work and to incentivize the economy by promoting business and taxing less. Helping the poor should be done through charity, i.e, the free will of the richer.
