Hey hivefriends lovers movies.

I think we all know several Spiderman movies, so I will not summarize the plot. In this opportunity I will approach Sam Raimi's movie (2002), from three messages that I consider to have been powerful.

Primer Mensaje / First Message

The first, as we all know, is the phrase placed by Stan Lee in Amazing Fantasy number 15 "A great power to a great responsibility ".

It has always been argued that the phrase is not Lee's but comes from the influence that the speeches of political men had on him.

Stan Lee, in 1962, did not imagine the repercussion that 4 decades later his speech would cause.

In the comic book it was the omnipresent narrator who says the phrase. In the 2002 movie, it was Peter Parker's uncle, who was unaware of his nephew's spidey powers, who said it.

In any case, power can be associated with the exercise of transcendental decisions. Power, too, can be seen as the supremacy of the state in legal matters and the administration of justice. Another perspective of power brings us to physical force and the use of it.

The above is played out in dizzying fashion in the film.

However, unlike everything that has been written I have another view. Since I place myself in the comic book, I have always thought that Stan Lee thought of the responsibility of him, creator of superheroes with extraordinary powers, and his influence on those who read him.

The change of narrator that occurred in the movie gives the perspective we know. But who are the majority of comic book fans? what are their social spaces? does the world need superheroes or super-gifted beings to control crime? And finally, are power and violence above the law?

Several of these questions have been answered throughout the real history of mankind. And Stan Lee had the good sense to ask it to himself, what was his responsibility to his power over young comic book fans?

Segundo Mensaje / Second Message

Science, biotechnological development, and its consequences.

In the movie Spider-Man, young Peter Parker is bitten by a spider that has undergone genetic alterations. As the spider's fluids enter the young student's bloodstream, his DNA is altered. As a result, Parker develops spider-like abilities in terms of his vision, auditory system, enhanced reflex system, creation of webs and hairs that allow him to adhere to surfaces.

On the other hand, Norman Osborn, a biotechnology magnate, experiments on his own body a chemical to enhance muscle performance. He does this because he wants to get a contract with the military; this way his scientific work and his corporation would have cash flow to continue with the research.

In the case of Peter Parker, the message can be seen as talking about how oversights can exist, and that they can be lethal or modifying to what we know as the human race.

In the second case, the message is linked to cautiously evaluating the advances of science.

In the times in which we live, I feel we should look closely at this film. How far are we lab rats to find a cure, are we part of a grand experiment of the human race?

Without getting to paranoia, because it's not my intention, I see that the Spider-Man movie faces this dilemma with two great answers: first, that everything can go right; second, that biotechnology and its advances cannot be subordinated to military interests.

This last aspect is conflicting and has been touched upon by literature and film on several occasions.

Tercer Mensaje / Third Message Message

Your needs are not my problem!

The film, aimed at all audiences, makes a social criticism that is summarized in the previous sentence.

Raimi's Spider-Man presents the achievement of not understanding or not caring about other people's problems.

Fuente-Source: lacasadeel

This is a very sensitive social topic, and from my point of view it is a very strong direct message for young people, who are the absent ones in this kind of film.

Problems exist even if we don't suffer from them. An unresolved problem can be the trigger for a catastrophe. Is it like that or clearer?

In all times, in all epochs, in all social strata, there are social problems, big or small, it doesn't matter, that are cause and consequence of our actions or inactions.

To deal with them at the right time would be the right thing to do, but to make fun of them as the fight promoter did in the movie, or to ignore them as Parker did, by letting the thief run away with the money, leads to the weakening of values such as solidarity, and even to the overflow of unbridled attitudes of certain social groups in search of prevailing ethical values such as justice and respect.
