Sobre mi preparación para una presentacipon de última hora. / About my preparation for a last minute presentation.

Hola amigos, les cuento que estuve ocupada seleccionando unas cuantas canciones para una presentación que tendría dentro de tres días, sí, me avisaron a última hora, es por ello que siempre debemos tener nuestro repertorio ensayado, y estar siempre con algo bien ensayado bajo la manga, en este ensayando para un evento llamado Woman Experience, que se llevaría a cabo en mi ciudad el 28 de julio, no les voy a mentir, a veces los músicos tenemos días pesados, estaba cansada por esos días, tomé una pausa en mi ensayo porque quise compartir lo que estaba haciendo con ustedes, de esto se trata este blog, de ir compartiéndoles todo lo que un músico y ser humano vive, seleccioné como primera canción "Stand by me" de Ben E. King, como segunda seleccioné "Buenos Aires" de Naty Peluso, y por último "Jus the two of us", de Bill Withers y Goover Washington.

Como las pistas eran descargadas tuve que hacerles un recorte para poderles quitar la firma auditiva de la productora que realiza las pistas, esto para dar un toque más orgánico a las presentaciones. También es bueno que estén en una tonalidad conveniente para tu rango vocal. Estaba muy cansada, pero aun así lo logré.

Hello friends, I tell you that I was busy selecting a few songs for a presentation that I would have in three days, yes, I was notified at the last minute, that is why we must always have our repertoire rehearsed, and always be with something well rehearsed up our sleeve, in this rehearsing for an event called Woman Experience, that would take place in my city on July 28th, I'm not going to lie, sometimes musicians have heavy days, I was tired for those days, I took a break in my rehearsal because I wanted to share what I was doing with you, this is what this blog is about, to share with you everything that a musician and human being lives, I selected as first song "Stand by me" by Ben E. King, as second song I selected "Good morning" by Ben E. King. King, as second song I selected "Buenos Aires" by Naty Peluso, and finally "Jus the two of us" by Bill Withers and Goover Washington.

As the tracks were downloaded, I had to cut them down to remove the audio signature of the production company that makes the tracks, this to give a more organic touch to the presentations. It's also good that they are in a convenient key for your vocal range. I was very tired, but I still managed to do it.

Los que juegan @risingstargame sabrán a lo que me refiero cuando les digo que tuve que contactar a mi "Supportive friend", y pues ese juego está en lo cierto, todo músico tiene un amigo que le ayuda cuando no puede contratar a un asistente, y a ese amigo era a quien, la noche anterior a la presentación, me encargue de pedirle el favor de grabarme ese día.

El día de la presentación todavía tenía que preparar mi vestuario, meter mis cosas en un morral, meter la selección en un pendrive, arreglar mi cabello, y un sin fin de cosas más que salen a última hora, pues luego de resolver lo prioritario para que saliera bien mi presentación y dejar de último la planchada de cabello hubo un fallo en el servicio eléctrico, así como lo leen, solo unas horas antes de mi presentación, así que tuve que ir a casa de una vecina a plancharme el cabello y maquillarme:

The day of the presentation I still had to prepare my wardrobe, put my things in a backpack, put the selection on a flash drive, fix my hair, and endless things that come out at the last minute, because after solving the priority to get my presentation right and leave the last hair ironing there was a failure in the electrical service, just as you read, just a few hours before my presentation, so I had to go to a neighbor's house to iron my hair and make up:
