[ESP-ENG] First time watching the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. || My opinion.

¡Hola hola amigos! GRAN ERROR.

Hello hello friends! This weekend I decided to finally watch the 50 shades of grey trilogy, I've had these movies for months but I've been so lazy to watch them, yesterday I've been bored and without signal, and instead of reading I said why not watch the movies finally? BIG MISTAKE.

I read the trilogy years ago, and although it also leaves much to be desired I didn't think the movies were that bad, I really thought that with so much fuss about them they would at least be passable, if you like them then fine, we all have different tastes and here is just MY PERSONAL OPINION.

Well, I really expect a little bit more from the movies, although the books are not good, at least I expected a better adaptation, first the performances leave much to be desired, although I love Dakota Johnson I will admit that it's not her best work, And Jamie Dornan? Fatal, I was the whole movie asking WHY? really every second that passed I just thought how boring he is, I know Christian's character is a bit shady, without emotions But making him boring? Too bad.

Now comparing the movie to the book, I know they weren't going to include everything because the books are extremely long, but the changes I saw I didn't like at all, I felt they skipped things that were important to the "plot" and would have made the movie a little more interesting.

The scenes in the red room left me with "Already? That's it?" We know that since it's a movie it couldn't be that explicit, but couldn't it be more interesting? I just saw a boring plot, sex and a few spankings, what I found a little interesting was the end, where Ana asks him to show her how he can be, and how she ends up leaving him.

Cincuenta Sombras más Oscuras:
Sinopsis:

Fifty Shades Darker:

Synopsis:

When wounded Christian Grey tries to convince Anastasia Steele to become part of his life again, she demands a new agreement before agreeing. But just as the couple begin to become more confident and have some stability, women from Christian's past appear determined to stop their hopes for a future together in their tracks.... Sequel to "50 Shades of Grey", in which Grey continues to explore his inner demons and young Anastasia confronts her feelings and confusion about her relationship with the handsome millionaire, a mysterious guy full of secrets.

I must say that I expected at least a little more from this second movie than the first installment, I expected more drama because Leila and Mrs. Robinson would enter the scene but it was not the case, once again they omitted situations that could have made the plot more interesting.

We see a "repentant" Christian trying to win Ana back, making the excuse that she is more important than his lifestyle, but is it so easy to leave behind everything he lived through? I don't think so, his life as a "Dominant" centered him to forget his traumatic past.

Another situation that I did not like is that they have ignored the existence of Dr. Flynn, Christian handles a trauma, and I'm not talking about being "sadistic" but what he experienced in his childhood, I think they should have emphasized that he did receive help and at least tried, not that they let it be understood that his relationship with Ana was going to "heal" him (women are not rehabilitation centers).

I kept seeing boring situations, when it came to the scene where Leila meets Ana I thought they would finally add some drama to the movie, but no. The way Christian handled the situation? Totally stupid, I thought there would be more emotion there, but once again Jamie Dornan disappointed me, how he talked to Laila and made her get on her knees, I didn't feel any emotion there.

Not even the helicopter crash situation managed to capture my interest and make the plot more interesting, let alone the long awaited moment when Mrs. Robinson makes her entrance to tell Ana that she is not what Christian needs.

Cincuenta Sombras Liberadas:

Sinopsis:

Fifty Shades Freed:

Synopsis:

"Believing they have left the shadows of the past behind, newlyweds Christian and Anastasia enjoy their relationship and their life full of luxury. But just as Ana begins to relax, new threats appear that put their happiness at risk. Adaptation of the ending of "50 Shades of Grey".
Source

In this last installment Christian and Ana start a new stage as husband and wife, here I will be honest and say that I loved this part, but it was mostly because of Ana's dress, I LOVED it, if there is something I love about the movies is Anastasia's style, she has a very drastic change and every outfit she wore I loved it, for me one of the best things in the movie.

Now one of the changes that still bothers me is the fact that they didn't include Kate's brother or Doctor Flynn, the way they include Joseph a lot seemed fatal to me because in the books Ana distances herself a lot from him, he doesn't play an important role anymore because he is still in love with her and Christian doesn't love him.

They kept omitting details that could have given more drama and more emotion to the movie, and although I liked it a little more than the others I still felt it as a disappointment, at the end, when Mia is kidnapped and we have the bank scene I thought it would be more emotional, I kept waiting when Christian asks Ana "Is it the money? Has it always been the money? And the baby? Will you take care of it?" I still say it lacked emotion, I don't know if it was still part of the actor, or is it that the script was too weak.

All in all these movies were terrible, at the time they were being filmed and on release they had a huge impact, many people loved them (and that's fine) that fans of the books had good opinions about them gave me some hope, but now that I've seen them all I've been very disappointed.

BDSM:

Now, I don't know if it's a very common theme, and maybe this review revolves more around the books since there isn't as much BDSM in the movie, but did it take the author or directors a lot of research? This lifestyle is serious stuff, and how Christian takes it is one of the things that bothered me the most Are you really going to say (in the first book/movie) That they will do that just to please you? What about the needs of the submissive? Christian grey is a total controller, for me he has been one of the worst dominants I have read, once you do a little research about this lifestyle you realize that he is EVERYTHING that is wrong with a dominant, and I know that the books are fiction, that maybe we should not take it seriously, but I have read more books with this theme where the authors really RESEARCH, where they look for information and manage to capture in a more realistic way what BDSM is, in short I think the most important motto will be "HEALTHY, SAFE AND CONSENSUAL".
