I wanted to share a lovely experience I had with my first-grade students at the Science Fair. I work at the "María Rodríguez de Vera" Educational Complex, and this is the first time this event has been held at the school.

It was very exciting to see their smiles when they saw that their Homemade Water Fountain experiment worked.

A representative helped me build the experiment we would present that day, because I, along with them, made one step by step in the classroom without decorating it, simply so they could observe how the air pressure contained in the balloon 🎈 could move the water.

The materials used were the following:

• A one-liter plastic soda bottle.

• A straw or hose.

• A small piece of foam.

• Artificial plants.

• Stones.

• Silicone.

• A large balloon.

• A plastic base.

Six students participated, handling the presentation, explaining the meaning of the experiment, the materials needed, and the steps for its construction. With my help and that of my husband, the school's music teacher, they carried out the experiment. It was a very meaningful learning experience for them. Their parents also collaborated on their costumes and learning the material. It was a wonderful team effort, thank God 🙏
