Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

  • I found this app through @emwalker. Use it regularly and it will help you type faster and more accurately. [10 fast fingers](https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english

I have a favor to ask. If you are on YouTube, can you please subscribe to my Sustainable Living Podcast channel. I am not asking you to watch, just to subscribe. I want to be able to do live Yoga classes and need more subscribers before I can access that function. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA73SuaMBnBIaB5OdiL_y6Q

The feeling of Christmas was in the air and Ella wasn't sure what the season would mean for her.

Memories of the previous year remained fresh in her heart and she would trade everything she has just to have such a beautiful season again.

She looked out from the window of where she lived, and her eyes were fixed on the train station that was a few kilometers from her house. The honk of every train that arrived at the station made her miss the love of her life the more.

Ella opened her drawer and reached for the last letter Derek sent to her. She opened it and read aloud, "I will arrive like a star".

She smiled and said," I can't wait to have you here".

Sometimes she wished she could sight Derek at the train station from her room, it would have made her joy boundless.

Deep emotions were setting in as she thought about him and she decided to take a stroll in the cold weather.

Ella grabbed her jacket and went out. She walked for a while before settling for coffee in a shop and she was there for quite some time.

It suddenly started snowing and she quickly left the coffee shop. She walked as fast as possible until she reached a big tree where she first met Derek.

Ella smiled as she allowed the memories of the beautiful time they spent together to flow through her head. She sat for a while under the tree not minding the snow.

The night was falling and she decided to leave.

Ella continued her walk back home and she reluctantly opened the door when she got home.

She removed her jacket and threw herself on the big bed. She kept reminiscing about Derek while was staring at the roof of her room, Ella noticed an unusual light reflecting through the window.

She jumped out of bed with curiosity and raced to the window side to see where the light was coming from. There was a standing figure that looked like Derek and it was heading toward her house but it was still quite far.

The figure had hundreds of twinkling lights on him. She wasn't sure what was happening and she suddenly remember what Derek's letter said.
Ella forced herself to wait for the figure to come closer and when it got closer, she rushed out of her room.

She slowly walked to towards the light and it turned out to be Derek.

She was excited and they hug for a while, the season is definitely going to be a happy one for her.
