Confección de Camisa para el Uniforme de una Gran Amiga//Making a Shirt for a Great Friend's Uniform

Feliz y bendecido día amigos(as) amantes de las agujas. Los uniformes en los trabajos resultan una alternativa fantástica para no desgastar tanto nuestras prendas de vestir que normalmente utilizamos en nuestras salidas o compromisos sociales o de rutina que nada tienen que ver con nuestro trabajo.
En estos días me llamo mi amiga @jineska con la premura de que tenía que incorporarse al trabajo, ella es docente y acá en Venezuela inician las actividades hoy lunes 03 de octubre, y debe ir con el nuevo uniforme el cual lo habían definido ya hace un tiempo pero por diversas situaciones ella no había podido comprar los materiales necesarios.
En lo particular el modelo de camisa elegido por los docentes de esta institución, nunca lo había realizado, porque considero que lleva sus detalles en cuanto a corte y confección que no domino lo suficiente, pero no podía dejar mal a mi amiga en su primer día de trabajo.
Happy and blessed day fellow needle lovers. Uniforms at work are a fantastic alternative to wear out our clothes that we normally use in our outings or social or routine commitments that have nothing to do with our work.
These days my friend @jineska called me in a hurry because she had to go to work, she is a teacher and here in Venezuela the activities start today Monday October 3rd, and she must go with the new uniform which had already been defined some time ago but for various situations she had not been able to buy the necessary materials.
In particular the model of shirt chosen by the teachers of this institution, I had never made it, because I consider that it has its details in terms of cutting and sewing that I do not dominate enough, but I could not let my friend bad on her first day of work.
La tela escogida es Dacrón en color vino con detalles en color beige. En cuanto a la tela es muy buena para trabajarla, no se hilacha, ni se corre tanto, no es stresh aunque en internet he visto que si hay un tipo stresh en esta tela y la verdad me gustaría probarla.
The fabric chosen is Dacron in wine color with beige details. As for the fabric it is very good to work with, it doesn't spin, it doesn't run that much, it is not stresh although on the internet I have seen that there is a type of stresh in this fabric and I would really like to try it.
La prenda de medida que trajo mi amiga le queda un poco ajustada así que debía aumentar unos centímetros más al cortar. Para comenzar corté dos piezas delanteras una que llevará ojales y la otra donde irán los botones, una pieza para la trasera (espalda) y otra pieza para la parte alta de la espalda y que a su vez une la prenda con las piezas delanteras, esta última va doble así que corte dos de ella.
The garment that my friend brought is a little tight so I had to increase a few more centimeters when cutting. To start I cut two front pieces, one that will have buttonholes and the other where the buttons will go, a piece for the back and another piece for the upper back that joins the garment with the front pieces, this last one goes double so I cut two of them.
Pasé a unir la pieza de la espalda con la pieza doble y a su vez esta última con las piezas delanteras de la penda. Realicé unas pinzas en la parte de cintura y busto para dar forma más femenina a la camisa.
I went on to join the back piece with the double piece and in turn this last one with the front pieces of the garment. I made some darts at the waist and bust to give the shirt a more feminine shape.
Luego corté las mangas de la camisa y procedí a coserlas, pasé costura por los laterales o costados y también corte una tira larga en color beige y la cosí a cada pieza delantera de la camisa. Será donde irán los ojales y los botones.
Then I cut the sleeves of the shirt and proceeded to sew them, I sewed the sides and also cut a long strip in beige and sewed it to each front piece of the shirt. This is where the buttonholes and buttons will go.
El cuello si me complicó más, por lo que ubiqué en you tube un vídeo de cómo hacer el cuello, lo cual me llevó a sacar el patrón de este, para luego cortar en la tela beige esta pieza de la prenda. El cuello consta de dos piezas, el cuello como tal y la base del cuello y se cortan doble cada uno. Se comienza a coser el cuello por el revés luego se da vuelta y se pasa costura por el borde luego tomamos las dos piezas de la base del cuello y la cosemos a este y por último pegamos el cuello ya armado, a la camisa.
The collar complicated me more, so I found a video on you tube of how to make the collar, which led me to take the patterpiecen of this, and then cut in beige fabric this of the garment. The collar consists of two pieces, the collar as such and the base of the collar and they are cut double each. We start sewing the collar on the back side, then we turn it over and sew the seam along the edge, then we take the two pieces of the base of the collar and sew it to the collar and finally we glue the collar to the shirt.
Realizamos el ruedo a la camisa pero como tiene partes semicirculares primero hice unas bastas a mano y luego pase costura con la máquina, así evité descoser en caso que la tela se doblara por los bordes.
We made the hem of the shirt but as it has semicircular parts I first made some bastes by hand and then sewed them with the machine, this way I avoided unpicking in case the fabric was folded at the edges.
Con la realización de esta camisa pude hacer por primera vez ojales en mi máquina Brother y no me quedaron mal para ser la primera vez, esto me lleva a leer el manual de la máquina con más atención porque vi que tiene muchas funciones útiles. Luego cosí los botones, estos si lo hice a mano.
With the realization of this shirt I could make buttonholes for the first time on my Brother machine and they were not bad for the first time, this leads me to read the manual of the machine more carefully because I saw that it has many useful functions. Then I sewed the buttons, these I did by hand.
Lista la camisa pasé a plancharla ya que recordé que mi madre decía que se deben planchar las costuras para que se estiren y se vea mucho mejor la prenda. Entregué a mi amiga con todos los nervios posibles ya que la veía super grande pero debo decir que mi amiga tiene una estatura envidiable y al colocársela le ha quedado fantástica y me ha pedido otra exactamente igual para no depender de una sola jajaja.
Once the shirt was ready I went to iron it because I remembered that my mother said that the seams should be ironed so that they stretch and the garment looks much better. I gave it to my friend with all the possible nerves as I saw it super big but I must say that my friend has an enviable stature and when she put it on it has been fantastic and she has asked me for another one exactly like it so as not to depend on just one hahaha.
Ambas felices, tanto que olvidé tomarme la foto con la camisa terminada, esperando que mi amiga tenga un excelente inicio de año escolar y así su ropa ya no se le desgastará tan rápido ya que tiene su uniforme para el trabajo.

Both happy, so much so that I forgot to take the picture with the finished shirt and the final result, hoping that my friend will have an excellent start to the school year and that her clothes will not wear out so quickly since she has her uniform for work. Me gusta, es muy elegante y la combinación de los colores es buena. La forma de la camisa es uniforme quedó muy profesional, es un buen trabajo de costura, me ha encantado.
